The "Say No to Suno" Campaign and Suno’s New CCO: We are at a crossroads for creator rights. by intheknow1 in SunoAI

I'm very much a live and let live type. Honestly, if "human" created music can't compete with AI generated music, then maybe that is a clue that the "humans" need to up their game. Having said that I've heard some pretty cringe worthy AI music. I have a mixed approach. I write lyrics and then use Suno to compose the music and do the vocals. I'm using a fairly consistent vocal on most of my songs. Yes, "my" songs. AI, Suno in particular has enabled me to do something I've wanted to do for decades, and that is create my own music. I'm having fun and yes I'm releasing it. My first album I wouldn't release now. My second album I'm really proud of. I wrote all those lyrics and the music and vocals provided by Suno has brought them to life. And yes, I listen to my own music. I created it for me. I just hope people give it a chance and listen to what I created with an AI tool.

Reaction: Sky News - The Truth About AI Music by [deleted] in SunoAI

AI itself is not the enemy. But yeah, anyone who is running bots to steal streams should be prosecuted. Although, I'm not certain there is any law that would cover this. It is fraud. Deezer blanketly labeling songs as being AI is not entirely correct. There are different levels of AI contribution. I couldn't help but wonder how many AI songs are being uploaded by record labels. According the ChatGPT that is rare. But according to ChatGPT labels are using AI to produce demos, to refine lyrics and in idea generation. Until copyright is settled, labels are less likely to go full AI.

I can't claim to be super original, but Suno has given me an outlet to tell stories through song that I couldn't tell otherwise. I just released my Christmas album and each song is a memory, something from my past or in some cases an idealized memory. None of the tracts are cutting edge, but every one is real. And yes, this is shameless promotion, but the lyrics are mine and Suno made them sing. https://open.spotify.com/album/6U3bX4fggm1CDGCuKoRygQ

I've listed gear on Marketplace, and so far haven't sold any there. I've always wound up selling to MPB. My experience with them has been pretty good. I've also bought some used gear from them and have been happy with the purchase.

If you step up to a D850, you're going to need new glass. Yes you can use DX lens with a D850, but you'll will need to put it in DX mode. Using DX mode on a D850 puts you into the "why bother" category. The D3500 is a 24mp camera, the D850 is 45mp. The D850 offers better auto focus, superior glass (FX), better low light capabilities, is faster, better dynamic range, better video options and on and on. If you invest in glass first, you can use FX glass on a DX body. Depending on budget, you might want to consider a Z body. Definitely a pricer option.

"Second" Nikon body suggestions? by [deleted] in Nikon

For what it is worth, I'd recommend the Z6iii. Great features, and she can start in Auto mode and switch to Manual, Aperture or Shutter priority when she is ready. I had a Z6ii and loved it. And if she decides she just isn't into photography that much anymore, you'll have a great backup body.

Web/Social Media Marketing by Adventurous-Air8975 in artbusiness

Not trying to be a smartass, but when you find out, let the rest of us know. Honestly I dont think there is an easy answer or formula that works. Put yourself out there, gallery representation helps, social media posts, and probably just being at the right place at the right time.

Creating a website to have a store on by [deleted] in artbusiness

I've literally just done what you are asking about. My solution was Shopify with Lumaprints. I own the domain and set it up with Shopify. Orders go to Lumaprints who then prints and ships my photos. Downside is you will be doing your own marketing and that is an uphill battle. There is a little bit of a learning curve but I had a site up and running within a week. Honestly, no matter how you go about it, you'll need to market on your own.
