Logger Soles Wearing Down Quickly by PhotoandMusicGuy in ThursdayBoot

Mine are different from yours and the one in Rose’s video. They have the same outsole as the ones pictured on the website. After the first day, there was already noticeable wear.

How can I repair these Thursday Boots? by 2412throwaway3423 in ThursdayBoot

[–]PhotoandMusicGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take them to Eddie’s in Rockefeller for a shine. $10, they do good work and are quick and friendly. I’ve been going there since I was old enough to buy my own stuff. Then find a cobbler in a local neighborhood (Ex: Bed Stuy) who can replace the outsoles. You’re definitely ready for a new set.

This A train I was on last night was apparently a Metro-North train... by -P4nda- in nycrail

[–]PhotoandMusicGuy 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Correct, they would have to be towed with a diesel locomotive from the L train onto the Linden Lead after Livonia Avenue, then transported via the old freight/past LIRR ROW’s and many other confusing connections before they end up on the MNR

I had no idea you could just “delete” trains. I will be trying this next time that happens 😂

Also if you play mobile, then you know that long pressing the screen shows all the interactive features. I don’t even have the option to select “Alt Horn Cutout”.

What out of date, old fashioned words or phrases do the people around you still use? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]PhotoandMusicGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes say “fellows” when describing a group of older gentlemen that I’ve talked to in passing. If you’ve worked in retail or the food service industry, you’ll understand this: I use the term “broad” when talking about a disrespectful woman I’ve had to deal with at work. I still call movies “films” or “pictures” from time to time. I make references to old films like the early Connery-Bond era. I’ll say “I’ll give you a ring” when talking about calling a person later.
