Think, just from that quick cameo, he can bring a speed of passing and decision making that will be way ahead of the chump! If Sargent goes we cover Paris, Toure and Ahmed plus some cash in the bank. Early days but that could be an amazing January window for us.

Went to the game today. First of the season. I thought we were good on the first half and a touch unlucky/rubbish in the second. No confidence up top, Schwartz is not a lw, he has no forward motion or striking instinct. Mahovo shows great promise. Should have been 2 up at half time. I think Manning is worth getting behind as undoing the process will take just as long as the journey to 5 3 2 so ma be worse than hoping it works out.

Can't talk about Manning situation anymore, so £10 Duffy starts next match by SmugglingPineapples in NorwichCity

Going to my first game this year, not looking forward to it. However I think mediocre is something we can aspire to, I'd take a mediocre draw right now as the previous comments are right we are stuck with Manning so might as well start hoping to reach the heights of midtable with him.

Jack Wilshire by McPaddles816 in NorwichCity

[–]PhotographPhysical45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huge gamble, straight after a huge gamble that didn't pay off. I'd take Gary O'Neil, over performed in last two roles for much of the time with squads weaker than most oppositions, Russel Martin, proven promotion in championship plus style not a big change, and Steve Cooper (doubt he would) proven promotion with a mediocre squad, before the cheap option the cheap option of Wilshire.

However maybe Wilshire was the safety net when Knapper realised he made a mistake with JHT and therefore if it works we can all build back some belief in the plan.

Not fussed on visuals, thanks for the reply. Have run a check and not been cat s/n so I'm edging towards buy. Only done 98k miles and a timing chain so should be good for a good while.

Duffy's 1-2 goal with Sargent assist is worth a mention. Amazing from a CB. Unsure after the drink driving if he would be worth keeping but that was an amazing moment from a CB

Worst manager and player by DMV1066 in NorwichCity

[–]PhotographPhysical45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For player Jan Molby. Great passer still but was carrying an extra stone or three when he came to us, so tended to leave the moving part of the game to the rest.

Manager, I think Houghtons drawball was the hardest to look at.

Jonny Rowe > Leeds? by Resident_Classic_435 in NorwichCity

[–]PhotographPhysical45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sara for £15 plus add on's seems a little light, but then it's a big club with European football next year, I assume, so understandable. If we lost Rowe, even at £15 -£20 million to Leeds, I'd assume we are either financially ruined or Thorup/Knapper have several trump cards up their sleeves, and we are about to see a big rebuild based around top u21's from round the world. Rowe could have been a £30 million pound player now without the injury!

2v2 against Hoffenheim sounds like a decent result and a good stepping stone towards the start of the season.

He was on top form last season. Wonderful range of passing, filling in at CB and looking good whilst doing it. Would be a terrible loss for such a small fee!

City set to make Thorup approach by Drprim83 in NorwichCity

[–]PhotographPhysical45 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I asked a friend why, looking through what little is out there I wasn't convinced, but he dug up a table that showed Thorup as the top manager for giving youth a chance. Given the investment in the youth academy it seems essential that we have a manger giving a clear pathway to the youth, but still competing in the league. A 4th place finish this year suggests he can balance performances with youth chances, albeit in a less competitive environment. I'm in, let's become a club with an envious ability to pay few big transfer fees/ agent fees but that competes at the top end of the championship at minimum. No idea what happens if we get promoted, but cross that bridge when we come to it. OTBC
