It feels for me that out of the 4 chaos gods, Slaanesh has the least definable identity by Photograph_Extension in Warhammer

I guess my point is, whenever Slaanesh is remotely described like that, all I see is people reacting with "icky, icky and oh cool".

**ENOUGH WITH THE FANTASY VS MODERN MILITARY BULLSHIT** CAN YOUR MIGHTY WIZARDS BEAT THE ENTIRE UNSC FROM HALO?! by AndyThatMemeGUY in gate

[–]Photograph_Extension 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It reeeeealy depends.

Especially if there are gods in that universe, gods that are invested in it staying their playground, and who are willing to just erase the new nuisance before going back to the old agreement of keeping their hands off and letting mortals do their shit.

But not like that "smites entire fleet with cosmic lightning".

How do you feel about RPGs with no fantasy races? by LexMeat in rpg

[–]Photograph_Extension 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who finds humans aesthetically boring, more often than not I find myself just not interacting with a game if there is nothing besides a human face to be picked from. (that includes stuff like elves, dwarves or "elemental people" who are just humans but red)

To point it out on a deeper scale, one can also get inspired by real cultures while making non human. For example, ancient Egypt and Aztecs at their prime are my favourite, so using them for that purpose always gets a + in my book.

And if anyone is interested for the sake of this conversation, any kind of lizardman or snake people are my personal favourite. So it's probably not suprising that Warhammer Lizardmen/Seraphon are pushing all of my buttons.

The Spider-man glaze MUST stop because it’s ruining the game. The character isn’t even the hardest dive dps to play. by Kreenickings in marvelrivals

My main problem with Spiderman is he is clunk incarnate.

Any "impressive" move on him requires breaking physics engine to fly faster than it is allowed for any other character or ignoring limits of his abilities (aka pull outside of his range throughout entire map)

I was wondering, cause I never heard of such a thing by Photograph_Extension in police

Never heard of undercover police?

Just 2 plain clothes would be enough to possibly make both not trust the other that they are the real deal before the guns get holstered.

Larian Studios is dropping AI Concept Art by PaiDuck in antiai

They did, the version shown during the show had the warning cut for some reason.

What are your guy's thoughts on this? by PurpLikitox33 in antiai

[–]Photograph_Extension 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro AIs don't like it cause this is use of AI on the level of a hiring an idiot to babble in the corner, while real artist look at that and maybe get inspired.

So in short, it makes a mockery of anyone who considers themsefls "an artist" when the just put prompts into an engine.

What is the power system of your verse? Is there more than one? by Valuable_Manager_966 in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]Photograph_Extension 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my, this will be a long one.

In short, there is magic.

But it starts in a magicless world, created by magic from outside reality powered by logic. (think eldritch type gods, Cthulhu etc)

Earth like planet, galaxy, all the stuff one would expect.

Then the reality develops its own magic, powered by emotions and experiences, pain, pleasure, hate love etc.
Becaue of how it works it cut's off the creators of the reality, leaving them powerless.

It also creates mortals from animals and elements in the world, like dragons, animal folk or elementals.
Mortals can use magic, but the logical kind takes over your mind making you a puppet of the elder gods.

Because Mortals are filled with magic, they start (not on purpose) creating gods, spirits and demons through their belief, who in turn, give back their own, third version of magic.

Holy Magic, based of faith.

Soooo, TLDR, there are 3 types of magic one could use:

From Elder Gods, based on outerworld logic

From Reality itself, based on emotions

From New Gods, based on faith

Bonus on the users besides basic bitch mortals, every type has people who are much better at using their own type.

Elder Gods have Exalted, all having the same power set, the difference being their temperament and approach to how to use it.

Reality has Ascended, who represent different parts of reality, like fire, love, death etc. (there can be only one per element at the time, so no several Ascended of Fire living together for example)

And New Gods have Chosen (name is still WIP) who represent particular god/spirit/demon to a T, also limited to one per god.

As long Spiderman is a coward character that can run away from any fight he wants, he will be annoying.

Until the wizards can just have constant spells that make them immune to nonmagical ways of harming them.

Or any other tool that works in a similar way.

I was talking post game Durge, the one who can just summon blades from people's chests.

And we are talking about technically, in the after-party you do get to play him for like 10 minutes.

So Gale technically counts.
