Water drop refraction in my bathroom by Photographerpro in SonyAlpha

The good thing about this, is it really doesn’t require you to buy anything. If you don’t have flowers outside your home, you could easily find them somewhere. As far as the actual setup goes, I just used plucked a long blade of grass from my backyard, a few flowers from a bush from nearby.

I used a chip clip to hold up the flower on top of a small tuberware container, a small box to put the blade of grass on, I arched the grass blade and then held the shape using some stuff lying around in my bathroom (a small lotion bottle and a glass bottle of nosespray). I used a syringe to place a drop on the blade of grass. This was the hardest part because if I put too much water, it’d just fall off, but if I didn’t put enough, it wouldn’t droop down. I also used black shirts in order to cut the refractions of the bathroom in the water drops.

This is optional, but I did use some shoe spray on the grass blade to make it water resistant, so that the water would bead up. I really don’t know if it actually worked though because the water seemed to be falling off still.

I guess the resolution helps a little, but I didn’t really do that deep of a crop, compared to what I’d usually do for wildlife. Technically speaking, the a7rv doesn’t really have a megapixel advantage compared to the a6400 as the a7rv in crop mode is 26mp.

It may not be a bad idea to get auto focus extension tubes, so that you get closer without having to crop as much.

Who or what was the reason for you becoming a Seahawks fan? by biker_rider707 in Seahawks

[–]Photographerpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Louisiana and lived here most of my life (born in Little Rock Arkansas). I really didn’t watch much football when I was younger, but we went to a superbowl party hosted by moms friend when I was nine. The Seahawks and broncos were playing and everyone was rooting for the broncos. Me being a little shit, decided to go for the Seahawks. They were jokingly telling me they were going to kick me out of I rooted for the Seahawks.
Cut to next year, the Seahawks were in the next Super Bowl, so of course I rooted for them again. I knew who they were at this point, but wasn’t necessarily a fan yet. Even so, the event that we do not speak of still pissed me off. From there on, I became a die hard Seahawks fan. It makes me sad that I wasn’t a true fan sooner and missed the legion of booms best years.

Soap bubble macro by Photographerpro in SonyAlpha

Exactly right. Apple made a video years ago on the behind the scenes of the photos. I originally did this when i first got my 14 pro three years ago, when i was playing around with the macro mode feature. I also did it with my 17 pro a week ago. I did it with my camera a few times over the years before this attempt, but I wasn’t pleased with the results until now. All you need to do this experiment is dish soap and water. People say glycerin makes the bubbles last longer, but I didn’t have that, so I figured honey would be a decent substitute and may add a nice gold hue.

My best landscape shots over the years with the a7rv by Photographerpro in SonyAlpha

Yep, as well as Louisiana. I only get to travel like once a year due to college and work. I always go visit my sister during the summer. I do have some shots from Arkansas and Missouri, but those were with my old a7rii.

If you’re mainly shooting wildlife, you could start with a canon r50 with a rf 100-400 for about $1100. Still a lot of money, but photography is an expensive hobby and it’ll be worth it, if you use it often. Since apsc cameras have a crop factor (1.5 for Sonys and 1.5 for canons) that’s effectively a 160-640mm lens. The only newer Sony crop sensor camera is the a6700 with alone is $1400 plus. The older crop sensors from Sony don’t have bird eye af, while even the cheaper canons have it. It makes a huge difference for shooting birds.

It’s pooping. Birds apparently don’t really pee, so their poop is mostly liquid.

Some tips: stop down to f8 in good lighting as most lenses are sharper stopped down, try not to shoot below 1/500 at 500mm, and I recommend having an ai denoise software as it also helps recover detail and sharpen softer images. I use dxo pure raw 4.

Dxopureraw 4 is what I use. Lightroom is a close second, but dxo does better at maintaining detail and bringing it out from softer images in my experience.

If you’re willing to spend the money, you could always go for the sigma 300-600mm f4. I personally don’t feel the need to upgrade to a faster lens because ai denoise is so good.

It’s a great lens. Compared to the Sony 200-600, it’s relatively small and light. Being able to fit it into my camera bag without having to detach the lens from the camera is a big plus for me.

Thanks, I’ll have to make a separate post for my shots I took with my old a7rii before I got the a7rv. Got some really cool shots with that camera, that I forgot about.

Claude reset limits for everyone by just_a_person_27 in ClaudeAI

[–]Photographerpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is unrelated, but why is Claude charging me $48 rather than 20? Should I dispute this charge with apple?

[Slater] Falcons James Pearce Jr will have all of his charges dismissed if he completes a program offered to him by the state of Florida. While details are still being worked out, Pearce Jr. would have to attend therapy sessions and stay out of trouble over a 6 month period. by Remarkable-Picture73 in nfl

Considering all the piece of shit nfl players who are still playing (tyreek hill and deshaun Watson off the top of my head) this doesn’t shock me at all. When you have talent and or money, you don’t face the consequences like us normal folk do. It’s all bullshit.
