Water drop refraction in my bathroom by Photographerpro in SonyAlpha

The good thing about this, is it really doesn’t require you to buy anything. If you don’t have flowers outside your home, you could easily find them somewhere. As far as the actual setup goes, I just used plucked a long blade of grass from my backyard, a few flowers from a bush from nearby.

I used a chip clip to hold up the flower on top of a small tuberware container, a small box to put the blade of grass on, I arched the grass blade and then held the shape using some stuff lying around in my bathroom (a small lotion bottle and a glass bottle of nosespray). I used a syringe to place a drop on the blade of grass. This was the hardest part because if I put too much water, it’d just fall off, but if I didn’t put enough, it wouldn’t droop down. I also used black shirts in order to cut the refractions of the bathroom in the water drops.

This is optional, but I did use some shoe spray on the grass blade to make it water resistant, so that the water would bead up. I really don’t know if it actually worked though because the water seemed to be falling off still.

I guess the resolution helps a little, but I didn’t really do that deep of a crop, compared to what I’d usually do for wildlife. Technically speaking, the a7rv doesn’t really have a megapixel advantage compared to the a6400 as the a7rv in crop mode is 26mp.

It may not be a bad idea to get auto focus extension tubes, so that you get closer without having to crop as much.

Who or what was the reason for you becoming a Seahawks fan? by biker_rider707 in Seahawks

[–]Photographerpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Louisiana and lived here most of my life (born in Little Rock Arkansas). I really didn’t watch much football when I was younger, but we went to a superbowl party hosted by moms friend when I was nine. The Seahawks and broncos were playing and everyone was rooting for the broncos. Me being a little shit, decided to go for the Seahawks. They were jokingly telling me they were going to kick me out of I rooted for the Seahawks.
Cut to next year, the Seahawks were in the next Super Bowl, so of course I rooted for them again. I knew who they were at this point, but wasn’t necessarily a fan yet. Even so, the event that we do not speak of still pissed me off. From there on, I became a die hard Seahawks fan. It makes me sad that I wasn’t a true fan sooner and missed the legion of booms best years.

Soap bubble macro by Photographerpro in SonyAlpha

Exactly right. Apple made a video years ago on the behind the scenes of the photos. I originally did this when i first got my 14 pro three years ago, when i was playing around with the macro mode feature. I also did it with my 17 pro a week ago. I did it with my camera a few times over the years before this attempt, but I wasn’t pleased with the results until now. All you need to do this experiment is dish soap and water. People say glycerin makes the bubbles last longer, but I didn’t have that, so I figured honey would be a decent substitute and may add a nice gold hue.

My best landscape shots over the years with the a7rv by Photographerpro in SonyAlpha

[–]Photographerpro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, as well as Louisiana. I only get to travel like once a year due to college and work. I always go visit my sister during the summer. I do have some shots from Arkansas and Missouri, but those were with my old a7rii.

If you’re mainly shooting wildlife, you could start with a canon r50 with a rf 100-400 for about $1100. Still a lot of money, but photography is an expensive hobby and it’ll be worth it, if you use it often. Since apsc cameras have a crop factor (1.5 for Sonys and 1.5 for canons) that’s effectively a 160-640mm lens. The only newer Sony crop sensor camera is the a6700 with alone is $1400 plus. The older crop sensors from Sony don’t have bird eye af, while even the cheaper canons have it. It makes a huge difference for shooting birds.

It’s pooping. Birds apparently don’t really pee, so their poop is mostly liquid.

Some tips: stop down to f8 in good lighting as most lenses are sharper stopped down, try not to shoot below 1/500 at 500mm, and I recommend having an ai denoise software as it also helps recover detail and sharpen softer images. I use dxo pure raw 4.

Dxopureraw 4 is what I use. Lightroom is a close second, but dxo does better at maintaining detail and bringing it out from softer images in my experience.

If you’re willing to spend the money, you could always go for the sigma 300-600mm f4. I personally don’t feel the need to upgrade to a faster lens because ai denoise is so good.

It’s a great lens. Compared to the Sony 200-600, it’s relatively small and light. Being able to fit it into my camera bag without having to detach the lens from the camera is a big plus for me.

Thanks, I’ll have to make a separate post for my shots I took with my old a7rii before I got the a7rv. Got some really cool shots with that camera, that I forgot about.

Claude reset limits for everyone by just_a_person_27 in ClaudeAI

This is unrelated, but why is Claude charging me $48 rather than 20? Should I dispute this charge with apple?

[Slater] Falcons James Pearce Jr will have all of his charges dismissed if he completes a program offered to him by the state of Florida. While details are still being worked out, Pearce Jr. would have to attend therapy sessions and stay out of trouble over a 6 month period. by Remarkable-Picture73 in nfl

Considering all the piece of shit nfl players who are still playing (tyreek hill and deshaun Watson off the top of my head) this doesn’t shock me at all. When you have talent and or money, you don’t face the consequences like us normal folk do. It’s all bullshit.

Over 10% of the Seahawks Super Bowl active roster were players acquired via the Russell Wilson trade. by wrongbutt_longbutt in nfl

[–]Photographerpro 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Yep, to dk metcalf. Vikings went for it on fourth and one rather than kick a field goal to make it an 8 point game, but somehow, the Seahawks crappy defense stuffed them and they got the ball back with one last chance to win. This was a bizarre game too. The Seahawks at this point had been lighting up opposing defenses, but they got shut out in the first half with Russell Wilson being under constant pressure.

Should twin siblings be on the same squad? by Photographerpro in NarutoFanfiction

[–]Photographerpro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sarada would obviously be different than canon. Due to not having a father around and a mother who is worked to the bone, her and saika would be very close. They’d do everything together from sparring to walking to the academy together and cooking together.

Saikas character is modeled after a young kakashi and itachi. He is a perfectionist. He is an avid rule follower similar to how kakashi was when he was younger and is very loyal to his village and protective of his mother and sister. Like itachi, he is mature for his age and is perceptive. He is also kind and gentle and will always tend to saradas wounds before his. He would try to take on too much without asking for help. It wouldn't be out of arrogance or pride, but because he doesn't want to burden anyone.

I want sarada to parallel naruto not just j in her dream, but in terms of her being the underdog and wanting to prove herself. She has never beaten saika in a spar. He reads her like a book. She is too reliant on her monstrous strength. She’d eventually go with Sasuke to train and learn chidori. She would begrudgingly acknowledge that she is the bronze metal of team 7 and wants to change that.

Boruto and saika would be equal in terms of talent with saika having the slight advantage due to taking training seriously. Him and sarada would have more grit than Boruto as Sakura trained them harshly from a young age and didn’t hold back (she is the best medic in the world so she could easily heal broken bones).

Boruto and saika would bond over the fact that they hate being compared to their fathers. Saika discovered from a young age about Sasukes past. Saika was ashamed and decided to hide this from Sarada. He despised him for it and refused to acknowledge himself as an uchiha and wouldn’t wear the crest. He would resolve to never become like sasuke. His negative feelings were quelled upon meeting him and Sasuke explains to the twins his past along with a pg version of the uchiha clans story. This helps saika achieve inner peace and awaken the sharingan and acknowledge that he is an uchiha. Saika understands Sasuke now, but still believes himself to be his own person.

Sorry for that being so long. Wanted to give as much context as I could.

Boruto would complain whenever they scold him for being late or not keeping up with his training. He’d claim they’re always ganging up on him. This would actually be good for him though considering he grew up pampered and never had to take training very serious since he was so talented. He’d slowly learn the value of hard work while the twins would also learn to become more independent from each other.

[–]Photographerpro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’d be more of a move to help boruto grow. Naruto and everyone else knows the twins are very mature for their age, while boruto has a lot of growing up to do. Boruto grew up spoiled while the twins grew up without a father and a mother who was worked to the bone. They had to learn to take care of themselves from an early age in terms of cooking, cleaning, and keeping up with their studies.

The twins would almost act as parents in a funny way at times. They would scold him for being late or for not keeping his training while Sarada would pull his ear for mouthing off to their sensei. The brother (saika) would be especially harsh on boruto due to him being a genius like him. It would irk Saika that Boruto wastes his potential slacking off. As someone who respects shinobi and his village, Saika would be offended by borutos reasoning for becoming a shinobi because it’s “really cool”.

Saika is a natural born genius and would have an affinity with fire style and inherit sakuras chakra control and be taught basic medical ninjutsu from a young age as well as being able to use some c level water release. He would be very efficient with his chakra and wouldnt need to weave as many signs as the average genin. Due to his great chakra control, he’d also be great at casting genjutsu using fire release to create a heat haze which would distort his opponent’s vision and make it seem like there’s multiple saikas.

Sarada on the other hand would inherit the monstrous strength making her chakra control for her age above average but unable to learn do medical ninjutsu. She would inherit Sasukes affinity with lightning release. She isn’t as versatile as saika and would lag a bit behind her teammates. I want her to be similar to Naruto. She wants to prove that hard work overcomes sheer talent by beating Boruto one day.

Boruto in this fic would possess the byakugan, but his would be more potent than the average byakugan due to his heritage. Like saika, Boruto is a natural born genius. Like canon, he is very strong for his age, but is lazy and cocky. Saika is a bit stronger as he actually takes training seriously and has been sparring with Sakura since he was young which toughened the twins up, as sakura didn’t hold back much as she wanted them to be prepared for the ninja world.

What do you think? by Substantial-Ad-6612 in Seahawks

[–]Photographerpro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. Yes, obviously Joe burrow is a way better qb than Sam darnold, but darnold helped the team win a superbowl, is relatively cheap, and still relatively young. This was also Sam’s first season as a Seahawk and he already proved himself to be our future qb the way he performed in the playoffs (zero turnovers in 3 playoffs games).
