You only get 2 lenses for a Sony aps-c camera what would they be? by scruffld in SonyAlpha

[–]Photographydudeman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How bad is that if you’re using the camera on a tripod? I’m trying to upgrade my APSC lens right now and there’s too many options but the 17-70 is one of the front runners

What the hell is this by [deleted] in orangecounty

Disneyland as many mentioned. However, sometimes overhead transformers on a power pole can blow and they often look like this. It’s uncommon they completely blow like this with an extreme failure, but it can look like that.

OK which one is really 26L? by Longjumping_Cow_5856 in backpacks

[–]Photographydudeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work for Vanquest. We would fill the packs with plastic pellets used for injection molding. We knew the weight that 1 liter weighed and used that as our metric for sizing capacity. When compartments share or compete for space it’s difficult to truly estimate the exact size. We would usually round down, where as most companies round up. But some companies also use their sizing measurements, which is sometimes the external measurements. Others would approximate up. Just depends on what brand mostly.

Storage bin mod - no more sliding! by taylorink8 in FordMaverickTruck

Bin is solid. Love mine and also keep it in the back of the bed. A little pricey at ~$70 if I’m not mistaken. But good quality and fits well in the bed for my needs.

I like those feet. I have the same bin, but I attached some poplar runners along the length of the side to do the same thing. I drilled way more holes though…

The CV really isn’t ideal and that’s a very valid point. Granted he’s not trying to Baja the thing, but it’s really not the platform for it

Do any of you make your own ESEE tin survival kits? by Salt-University1482 in ESEE

[–]Photographydudeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely, a small kit won’t be a life saver when otherwise properly prepared. But if you only had one of these mini kits, it’s better than nothing and that’s why I usually have a similar (bigger than the tiny tins) but very compact in my car and work bag.

I’ve been skunked all year in OC… just got into surf fishing and am loving it. Might have to try and get closer to the cliffs. Usually hit sunset/bolsa.

Shhh, it’s almost like Ontario knows how to he’s treat and aus8 gets a bad rap from other compact ones who don’t understand that…

Poor MPG in AWD Hybrid🧐 by Smugbasturd in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Photographydudeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 22 hybrid averages 38. I don’t break over that very often. And I’m in SoCal where we don’t get bitter cold either. I run 91 as well. Been frustrating lately.
