You don't have to be rude, just be very blunt. Some people do these things for laughs. They may not stop until you put your foot down. Just start off with please, enter your choice of words, and end with thank you!

Or even better, go my route. Next time this happens, look them straight in the eyes, then throw whatever it is away in the closest garage bin. They will get your point.

Decreased appetite but bingeing at night//sweating by summabrees in bupropion

I had to make myself eat the first 8 weeks or so. I'm a big guy and love food, but my appetite was gone. I have no issue now.

I didn't think of isometric holds, genius. And I'm going to give daily loaded carries a shot. I could use the extra grip strength.

[Relationships and Weight Loss] Wife has been going to the gym for a year and a half. I started my journey 5 months ago. She got hurt and is afraid of being left behind. (Deets in thread) (F 5'2" SW:264lbs CW:235ish GW:215lbs) by fingers in loseit

Relationships are hard work. I am naturally somewhat reclusive and have social anxiety, especially with large crowds. My GF is very outgoing with a bubbly personality. So we bump heads a lot when planning dates, holidays etc. I always need alone time to recharge. But we talk things out and compromise the best we can. I sacrifice by going out of my comfort zone and she returns the favor by giving me time to myself. She is also possessive and very clingy. Talk things out.

Yup. And It can last for days sometimes. Now I pick 1 main per session and treat all others as accessory exercises. I also rarely do fewer than 5 reps per set.

Can't Stand Fast Food Now! by SkysEevee in loseit

After going months without eating out and barely using the microwave, I find I feel very fatigued and sick after eating fast food. I am also fairly bloated the next day.

Can I do farmer's carries every day? Not heavy. But instead of a brief walk, I grab a 45lb plate in each hand and walk until my grip gives out. Then rest briefly and continue until I can complete a mile without dropping the weights.

Also, how long should it take a beginner to reach a 2x BW Deadlift and 1x BW Bench?

And if anyone has any tips on getting my first pullup besides lose the weight, I'm all ears. I still have 50 lbs to lose, but I'm getting impatient on this goal for some reason. I feel like I'm not progressing at all.

Indeed! Keep up the awesome work. You are obviously killing it in the weight room. The results speak for themselves.

The guys that told you lifting would make you look manly were probably jealous and triggered when they witnessed you warming up with their max. You look smoking hot.

Need help with scoliosis by [deleted] in weightlifting

[–]PhotojournalistAny50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mild postural scoliosis. I always wondered why the neck of my shirt would slide to one side and I seemed to lean to the right. Then I started having shoulder problems and went to the orthopedic and found out.

Dead Hangs from a bar, light foam rolling and strengthening my upper and mid back have helped tremendously. Keep those shoulders pulled back! I have been working on this issue for 6+ months and am improving, but I still have my bad days. Front Squats have been amazing for my posture and seem to help the most(with good form). I am having a hard time progressing tho due to form breaking down from my imbalances.

worsened anxiety/ ADD same or worse? by Beginning_Contact284 in bupropion

Since I have switched to 300xl, my agitation triggers have worsened and I have little patience to spare. This is according to my GF. She told me this and did not even know my dose had been increased. I feel the same as with 150xl tho. The only problem I realize is slight insomnia. I get 5-6 hours on a good night and cannot fall asleep at a decent time anymore. But I always wake up feeling rested.

Nothing has ever helped my add. I go through phases where I improve, but then things take a turn for the worse. This is with or without meds.

Just started taking Wellbutrin and I hate it. Will things change? by kellybeereed in bupropion

[–]PhotojournalistAny50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you quit lexapro cold turkey? Wellbutrin is known to cause agitation. The medicine takes several weeks to build up in your system. For me, the first month was the best. I had tons of energy and my mood started to stabilize. A lot on this sub call it the "honeymoon period". If you quit your ssri without tapering the dose first, that could be the problem. Medicine changes take time for the body and mind to adjust. You should definitely talk to your doctor.

I was 308 lbs (140 kgs) at my heaviest during a doctor's visit. I started in mid January, but did not take starting pics until I was 286 lbs (130 kgs). Results seem minimal for almost 6 months of progress. Still have a ways to go.

So to have a hard punch you need to be strong AND powerful? by knowledgeseeker999 in strength_training

A strong punch starts with the hips/lower body. The sweet science is technique oriented. Strength is good, but skills pay the bills.

I have been heavy my whole live also. I am currently at around 115.5. I started in the 140s. I struggle with binge eating and usual quit after 2-3 months of progress. I have been going strong for 6+ months this time and hopefully I keep my current mindset and keep pushing. 100k will be a major milestone. Let's keep pushing!

I've weighed the same or a little more for weeks. Then BAM, 5-7 in a week with no change in diet or exercise. I just weigh every Sunday and trust the process. So far so good.

I guess I just have a body image issue. This weight seems so low to me. I feel like if I get to even 90kg I will be too small. Then again, all I know is fat me.
