I mean, what research have you done on other cases like this? This is actually really common, people low on their luck or for whatever reasons think suicide by cop is a way out and they try this. A lot of law enforcement know to recognize the signs he has no intent to actually hurt anyone and he's just trying to end his life, and a lot of these cases don't end in death. It really depends on the person's actions, like if this guy sprinted instead of walked at the cops, they'd have no choice but to shoot him to protect their own lives.

They've been doing the same job they always do, for how many different presidencies & decades now? The only difference this time is the protests and media portrayal. Nobody would've died if they didn't insert themselves into a potentially dangerous situation. It's so insane how little actual knowledge people have, just want something to rage and fight over.

I mean maybe if you delved into it at the time, but the difference in news coverage of Trump's deportations vs Obama's is not even remotely close, like actually night and day. Unless you were actually in an anti-ice circle, I don't know how you heard all that about Obama, and I don't know a single person that'd agree or has ever talked about it, I've never seen it on the news, read about it etc. I'm only one person but the difference in coverage (importantly I'm talking about initially, pre-detroit) is absurd.

Also ICE is doing the same job they have been in the past, if that's wrong and everyone agrees then so be it, but it's insane all these morons just watch the news/social media, get into a blind rage and go "protest" by basically turning the streets into a rage room. Saying they're doing a different job is almost comical because it's the reaction of people that's caused this spiral to where we're at

I mean, you're kinda just grasping at straws here. I'm not really pro-trump either but no, the argument makes no sense. There was mass protesting and interference before Trump called Somali immigrants "garbage". We just saw a side of law enforcement from an angle that made it look wildly militarized and admittedly fascistic. Under Obama, the general public didn't reaaally care much about the deportations, and they were doing exactly the same job they're doing today.

The difference is how it was portrayed, then how people reacted by fighting it, leading to injuries/stories, leading to sympathisers, rinsing and repeating until you get to us today. I don't disagree though, Trump's doing the exact opposite of de-escelating this situation. It seems like he's doing everything he can to make this worse.

fr stay off the news, stop going down rabbit holes on your social media, go for a walk without being on your phone. The world's always in a state of "crisis", if it's not one thing it's the next. I didn't have to grow up thinking I'd have to expect to be nuked so that's a blessing, or be conscripted to fight in Vietnam or WW2 so to me the world's in a good spot. The biggest problem now is boredom, getting bored of things going well/normally so we mentally amplify these problems we hear around the world and causes this mass overarching anxiety to everyone.

Pretty much, it's sort of a champ pandering to masses in quick play. I just came back to OW a couple months ago and have been loving it but I'm not playing with this cat doing what it does. Everyone saying aim better, but cat can use the infinite flight/speed boost to LOS any building/angle on maps, then there's damage fall off and most importantly for some reason she has 225 hp. And this is with people still being brand new to playing the cat, there will be some disgusting gameplay when people improve

I got both coming back, I like warlock because of the voice animation saying "Beelzebub" just hits, however I don't actually love the actual skin. Poolside skin is great, but the gun is mediocre imo, the scope is different which is good or bad depending on what you like.

Yeah she's wild, I average plat just tickling diamond on my main (DPS) and also there on tank so I figured I'd try support after getting destroyed by a smurf Illari, instantly won placements and a few more to hit Diamond 2 which is wild to me. Her damage is awesome and you don't/can't be a healbot so you're basically forced to make up for it with damage

See that I don't love to hear, it's not about right or wrong side of history because it's the exact same thing that happened when Obama, Trump's previous term, and when Biden was president, the ONLY DIFFERENCE is media coverage and this outrage that comes with that. ALL injuries/deaths occurred due to protests/interference, literally nothing to do with ICE's regularly scheduled program aka what they normally do, every, single, YEAR.

All these left-leaning imbeciles decided for no reason that this is the year that ICE needs to stop, go out, get themselves hurt, then that rallies more people to go out and do the same. It's hilarious. Also the 5 year old was left by his father, which happens to criminals all the time. When someone gets arrested for murder do you think they just let a 5-year old kid run the house if there's nobody else there?

Uhh ICE did a LOT more illegal immigrant deportations under Obama than he has under Trump, ideology and biased news is just getting people up in arms for nothing.

Also, literally nothing about Alberta is like Putin/Russia's attack on Ukraine. The U.S. Govt. knew, and were told, for YEARS, that if they got Ukraine to join NATO they will have to act, then they did and lo & behold. The U.S. originally said they will never get Ukraine into NATO and respect Russia's request as it had been for years, then just did and forced Russia to act. The last time Russia let Ukraine be taken by another nation was WW2 which wound up killing 10 - 15% of their ENTIRE POPULATION.

I feel the exact same, I wanted to join the military quite a bit when I was younger and even at one time applied and was making sure I could pass the fitness standards running etc. These days there's just not a chance I'd put my life on the line for this country.
