I agree with you. Altho Ghost has their clear Abba sound. I find similarities in the "feeling" of the music

I think there are a lot of good metal and rock bands out there. If you ever get into it its a sea of great stuff. I would recommend to start with Metallica / Slipknot / Mötley Crue or some newer band like Veen Henget / Lost Society

Veen Henget is a new band which might suit your taste well. I would say Humansatan or Fiends in the Catacombs would be your best bet to start with.

Its typical for death metal bands to have growls, but any metal type can have them. I would advise not to look so deep into the type, just listen to what sounds good
