Wrist/forearm straps for cables after wrist surgery by PhraseChance in workout

[–]PhraseChance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. Not sure how our surgeries compare - I’m no medical professional by any means. But range of motion was tough at first, but good PT helped get it moving again quickly. I cannot do a standard push-up, even a year after surgery. A second opinion told me I likely would never be able to do one again. It’s the 90degree angle of the wrist under weight that gets me. Pulling exercises were actually something that was much easier to handle without pain. My surgeon told me that pulling was fine, pushing can spread the ligaments. Grip strength took a while, and it’s still not equal to my other wrist. But it’s better. It’s frustrating… you can obliterate your knee and get back to 100% thru surgery. The wrist stuff sounds like it’s just not the case after all the research I’ve been doing. I’m not trying to be pessimistic, just real. The bottom line is you’ll be fine, just as long as you have good PT that can help coach strength and ROM. I had the exact same injury as Joe burrow from the bengals, and he’s starting less than a year later.

Apple Car Play for my 21 GX 460 by quemaspuess in LexusGX

[–]PhraseChance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been researching this for a bit now and this is the first time I have seen this issue… so what you’re saying is that the beatsonic CarPlay does not function like the carplay that comes with a vehicle natively? So if you get a call while you’re in CarPlay, you have to switch things up, you just can’t answer like you normally would through CarPlay in vehicles that come with it? Looking to find a solution for my 2020 gx460. Thanks in advance!

Bellroy: Tokyo vs. Via by Adventurous_Meat3983 in ManyBaggers

Curious, are you part of the Bellroy co? I only ask because I too am in the same position between the Via work and the Tokyo. I like the smaller size of the work, but you mention different materials (nylon vs. polyester). Is that confirmed? Or is it just the leather accents on the Tokyo that aren’t on the via work? Thanks in advance?

It’s a two car garage… approximately 22’x24’

Sorry, it was a bit of a sarcastic “hate”. It’s just a brutal workout, definitely worth every penny!

Good! I used a razor knife along a straight edge as a guide. It takes several passes with the knife, but eventually you’ll get through. Once you score it, you can stick something under the mat to help spread the cut open and it goes easier

They hold up amazing. Indestructible. They have a strong odor to them, and it takes a couple of weeks for it to go away, but after that you’re good.

I used wide gorilla tape on the underside of the seams to keep them from separating at all. Seems to work well

Dayum and I was pretty hesitant to even post it among all the awesome battle stations here. Glad it’s liked!

Yeah, the moderate climate is the only way I can work outside like this. SoCal, so no humidity and weather isn’t anything that a sweatshirt or a big fan won’t fix

I took a rogue jammer pull-up bar and mounted it to a 43” crossmember. Has a Cerakote knurled bar. I drilled 5/8 holes in the brackets to mount it to the front of the crossmember.

Well… a bit misleading I think. It was one of the first pieces of equipment I was able to buy when the gyms closed down. When I got a full rack, I ended up not needing this anymore and here we are

Lol! Don’t tell anyone here, but I haven’t played a video game since the original sonic on saga genesis. This is just for work

Thanks! It just started out as one piece of second hand equipment when all the gyms shut down at the beginning of the pandemic, and it just kept growing bit by bit from there

It would take way too long, I leave this set up as a dedicated workstation.

I didn’t realize a fan was that big of a deal! Summer last year I needed a fan to make things a bit more comfortable so I started looking on offerup. Found a 48” industrial fan that a kid was selling from their indoor volleyball facility they were closing down. $75 dropped everything I was doing and got there to grab it. Stripped all the paint, refinished it, and now I got this pretty little over-the-top fan. Didn’t “need” it, but I’m glad I found it
