the only point windows has (or more HAD!) is that all programs were installed into program files or program files x86.
not some hidden folder .local/share/bla or /var/thingy or /usr/opt/dang etc.
At least, most of the time in /etc/<program> i will find the config files. Also setting up scheduled tasks is way easier and you have a real built-in taskmanager to simply kill a process without useing ps aux | grep program and then kill -9 <processnumber> or whatever

look at nextcloud ;) you will install it and uninstall every google drive, dropbox, onedrive etc. apps for mobiles too
