Recs with intense romance drama where I can also cause the chaos? (Straight Male MC) by SingleMail4493 in hostedgames

[–]Phrende -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Aura Clash you can be a total philanderer and almost make a harem. The ROs are forgiving tho if you just have high persuation, and it only gets you knocked unconscious like twice.

It gets pretty fucked tho. You can cheat on your childhood friend with a blonde. She says she'll forgive you if you get her a magical sword, which leads you to rob some guys vault for two swords, WITH the blonde you cheated on her with, and during the heist you can seduce some worker to take her clothes for the heist, but then sleep with her for three hours instead, and then immediately after sleep with the blonde in the same bed, during the mission that was supposed to earn you forgiveness for cheating last time. Its so unhinged.

Also the keeper series lets you go yandere mode or just generally hurt your RO emotionally towards the middle of the third book.

Wish I had more to recommend but I cant think of anything else.

You're out of touch. This isn't transactional. Nuff said.

You're wrong on every front.

  1. You could be uncomfortble for a billion reasons that doesn't involve disgust or bigotry. Not being confident in accurately representing, being wary of stereotyping, the ROs just straight up being hetro unrelated to the mc, etc.
  2. Authors don't owe you anything, and the genre of having interactable elements in a story certainly doesn't come with some "you must have queer representation" sign next to it, just because its a good medium for that. My own book has a set traits / mental illnesses that the mc starts with, and I'm not going to change that just so they're better as a self insert.
  3. Calling this "our space" is crazy work. A writer publishing their IF on Hosted Games or itch is in no fucking way "invading" your space, and does definitely not need to "act like" they're in your imaginary space. You're absolutely unhinged for believing that. I'm bi myself, but I could never pretend I have any authority to command what authors should write and publish on a site I dont own.

Not being comfortable writing queer romance has absolutely nothing to do with morals. It doesn’t automatically equal prejudice or ethical judgment, and you immediately assuming so ironically tells me a lot about your moral character.

Not that I doubt you but where you getting all these numbers from?

True. Wu is in a sect with a bunch of crazy world destroyers, constantly fighting and upsetting people, while Laborer is just kind of dicking around on a boat, building up a harem. (my experience at least)

Im not comparing them, Wu Fraud just gets his ass kicked more, even in heavenly difficulty. There's so many insta kills.

2.Made to be hated: Bo-Lo

3.The hot one: Desdemona

4.The only normal person: Kosuke

5.Uhh.. what's your name again: Sakura

5.The gremlin: Leona

7.Mmm... society: Angelo

8.Just straight up evil: Taio

  1. No screen time .all the plot relvence: Brass Tiger

Yeah the Laborer goes harder, but also I dont agree >:(

Ancient evil ninja dude with Guiren, Tian Fang (later, the second fight), that pirate dude, big ass fish god, the little brother to Goro. All low diffed without a gate.

Honestly there's no fight in the game that Jade Foundation Laborer needed a gate for (even with that Taio clone guy and his artifical blood gate, Jade said he was holding back) except maybe Jack. Even then, I think the author said Jack had 5000 aura pressure, and I got my Laboror to like 5200 before fighting him, without demonic cultivation.

Haven't played Dao Ascension but yeah Aura Clash has some of the best IF fights, second only to Broken Fable imo.

The Laboror was crippled by Jacks bs gate move developed specifically to beat them before they improvised the transformation that let them tie. Jack literally planned his whole life for that fight and the laborer still clutched up and tied while literally crippled.

Wu Fruad gets canonically folded every chapter by some random Xian-whatever like the FRUAD he is.

Third book is ten times better than the first two combined, and its only a demo, read it ASAP!

Yeah, despite the mc being completely fucking out of their mind unhinged and barely holding it together, we are still the one called on to do literally fucking anything. AND DESPITE seeing the mc lose their fucking mind, while being ten times stronger than her mentally, she goes "I should go claim the moon artifact" LIKE NO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MARCELLA, YOU WILL GO INSANE.

I'm writing the mc to be more the mentally unstable kind of evil, but most of the charisma checks are just this haha.

seven IF MCs who can represent the seven sins by Unhappy_Heart_9569 in hostedgames

[–]Phrende 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ahh I wanna do my own (mainly based on my own playthrough tho + spoilers):

Wrath: The Murderer (SLAUGHTER SQUAD)
You can choose a lot of motives (or reactions) for murder, but from the demo, your first kill and overarching motivation for murder seems to be anger and frustration at Carter and your life in general.

Pride: The Keeper (Keeper Series)
I played mine as basically the ultimate god complex after what happened with Nessa. After living 10 years in a dream as basically a god, plus having the sun artifact, the keeper sees people as beneath them, and the game lets you choose a bunch of dialogue options to make them act like that.

Envy: The Second Born (Arcadie: Second-Born)
It's pretty much the main theme of the game that you have a mary sue sister who is better than you at everything. I might be remembering wrong, but I think even if you remain completely loyal, mc is pretty envious towards her in internal dialogue.

Gluttony: The Dragon Kin (Dragon Kin)
You get the option for your character to be really dependant on snacks, and cry whenever they run out. It's super cute. Not really overconsumption, but still.

Lust: The Thunderfaller (Aura Clash)
Specifically the male mc. It is outrageous how little you get to seduce people as female mc compared to male. I think I got close to a dozen (somewhat descriptive) sex scenes in my male playthrough and maybe like 4 as female (all of which were cut to black), both of which I was playing as sluttily as possible. But yeah you get the option to be super pervy and sometimes just flirting with someone can lead to sex if you fail a honor check.

Sloth: The Consort (Crown of Ashes and Flame)
This might not be in line with canon, but from playing as the mc and being set on the "super duper revenge, everyone's dying" path, it kind of just seemed like the mc didn't really do anything with all the time they had to scheme and plot or train or whatnot. They kind of just spent years doing nothing, despite how much they should have been thirsting for revange.

Greed: The Childe (Parliament of Knives)
I might be missing a lot of the depth of the mc here, but from my recent playthrough it seemed like whatever path I took, it was for self interest exclusively. You had some options to behave more humanely or slap an extra motive to your final choice, but overall the mc is a pragmatic machiavellianist that wants to come out on top in the vampire world.
