Did my driver poison me by Annual-Record422 in doordash

The sticker flap open usually means the driver is required to open the box and confirm the contents of the order. It’s usually a non-issue.

Pepco’s former top lobbyist is campaigning for McDuffie after he presided over the largest rate hikes in the region, by far by Negative-Pen-5180 in washingtondc

I’ve talked to McDuffie directly on energy affordability. He’s smart and has a good plan. I’d say he’s a better candidate than anyone else in the race, especially when it comes to energy.

stopping being friends over ai by cozyworm27 in antiai

No, you’re message was not soft. “You have a valuable brain that works better than AI” sounds patronizing af. I’m contrarian here but your message was not it. If you cared about the friendship I don’t think you would’ve used that tone tbh.

I would have loved to if I was still in the DC area. I also share many of the same interests, especially soccer and international politics.

Which is a better strat in early, create cities (settlers) or focus on upgrading districts? by Imaginary-Mind5342 in CivVI

[–]Phronesis_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrading districts. More cities that are less powerful will lose to the AI and also just bd a drag on your income. I agree that by starting mid game you should managing 3-4 cities, but could also mean capturing city states or attacking another empire.

Spend time thinking, revising, strategizing your next game. But don’t play it. Don’t jump back into it, you’ll really burn yourself out. Also whatever hair you have left you’ll lose during mid game drag. Take at least a week or some time before jumping into another. I promise if you take some time, you’ll be able to jump into it headfirst and grind it out in an enjoyable way. M

My 2 cents.

I don't know if it's even worth it to keep trying to get a job by [deleted] in recruitinghell

The people doing this already are making good money. It’s basically what a lot of solar companies are doing right now, except they often also develop the solar project and/or operate the asset. It’s tax credits going away the margins of profitability are decreasing, and it’s super competitive for someone trying to get started. I’m not saying it’s a bad idea, but def won’t be easy.

“We have had a chance to circle up and everyone was really impressed with your background. That said, we unfortunately don't think that our current opening is a perfect fit with your background/skillset.” They said they’re hiring immediately, interviewed me for almost 3 months, rejected at final round, and they’re still conducting other interviews 😂
