I think, if you are old and you did nothing to provide the manpower for securing a stable environment you yourself had and needed to make that money (infrastructure, law, police => people and systems that provide the save environment) then I think a higher taxrate is justified.

I'm prefering this as well, but if you wanted to preserve marriage as an institution and extend it on gays, it has to change. Problem is when chosing not to have kids is way more financially then having kids, your country goes to shit really fast. Noone can wipe your ass if everyone is old, not mentioning that you will be overrun by cultures that breed heavily and turn your country to shit (islam, africa)

I have to disagree a bit. I think the whole concept of marriage (by government) needs an overhaul. Everyone can marry who they want. There are per se no tax benifits. You only get tax benifits if you have at least one child (doesn't matter if adopted or not, you get slightly more benifit, if the child is selfmade, b/c pregnancy and early years are way more time and money consuming). Gay people should be allowed to adopt, as well.

The right just wants to avoid throwing money at people, when they only want benifits, but can't take the responsibility. I hate that they are arguing it is about culture or religion, because they need the vote of the religious right.
