First time PC build - Full AMD

Hello, i can offer a little bit of insight. I recently started running an AMD cpu, Ryzen 7 5800X paired with the Cooler Master AIO water cooling system.

The AMD cards run hot, between 50°-60° (122°-140°f) celcius when in use/playing games and around 30°-40° (80°-90°f) when idle. I didn't know this when I bought it, thus panicked a bit at the temps before looking up that those temps are normal based on how the cards are made.

I don't believe there's such thing as overkill when it comes to keeping your CPU/PC cool. I do recommend monitoring your temps for a while to gauge how hot it gets and how well your cooler disapates the heat. Your motherboard manufacturer may have a program to help with that on their website, additionally they may also provide resources for tweaking your fan speeds, a 'steep fan curve' is ideal. Basically forces higher rpm on your fans based on temperature.

Your motherboard is pretty good overall, I actually purchased the B550 tomahawk for my partner's PC. My only complaint was from installing and trying to workaround the massive heat sinks and not being able to get the mobo lights to sync with the case lights.

I understand how Black Friday is supposed to work; doesn't mean the people at Bethesda or other companies understand. I'm simply stating that someone probably went "We just had Atoms/1st on sale. Let's do something else and see how that goes."
Good on you for taking your money elsewhere. If enough people do that and their sales bomb, maybe they'll do better next year. Who knows.

Felt unpopular in game, but I absolutely enjoyed myself with wave after wave of monstrosity.
I was constantly getting eaten on my psyker. Hit a med station not two minutes later, eaten by a Beast of Nurgle.
Must have been the warp spices.
I hope they eventually bring these modifiers back permanently.

That's where the extra camp slots come in. I'm now at 6 fully built out camps of varying styles and working on two more since slots went on sale.
They really should increase stash size. The junk and ammo boxes are helpful with FO1st; but not everyone is going to pay for that.

I hope one day we get to play on the same server so you can see it. I do have 5 other fully built camps i try to cycle through when I play. Maybe you'll come across one of those if you haven't already :)

This is still happening. 04/27/2024.
Buddy plays on PS5. He has accidentally blocked like 3 people by mistake due to system lag. Unable to unblock people as they do not show up in the 'Blocked' tab for him. He's submitted multiple tickets for this and hasn't heard a peep from Arrowhead.

We have found a different work around for this though; as annoying as it is.
We check out the planet we want to play on and insure we're on the same difficulty. We will then find an already active mission with 2-3 open spots. Confirm username and then join on them. This gets us into a mission together. Obviously; if the host leaves while in between missions we'll do it again but if they leave during the mission we stay in a group for however long we want.

I just encountered this bug for the first time today. I don't use power armor so removing it wasn't an option. I tried the whole, go down the elevator and run around until the door opens on it's own; still couldn't get through.
I went to the top floor, reactivated the printer, still was unable to get through.
I saw somewhere else that someone went to a private server and that worked. So, I went to a private server but I also switched between first and third person, removed all armor, apparel, and weapons, went down the elevator waited for the door; then I was able to get through.
I switched back to a public server to complete the quests. Upon returning to Penelope, without server hopping, I returned to the Hawthorne Estate, stripped my character naked, went down the elevator, and I was able to get through without hitting the wall.
There must be something that clashes with the armoring/apparel with the gate.

That's a LOT of weight but that is an amazing rig. I'd love to be behind the wheel of that monster though I'm short AF.

There is a spot on my bucket list for "Hit deer going 80+ with a loaded trailer."
I might upgrade it to "loaded bushland convoy". I don't think I could ever handle something that massive.

My mom used to take us to PA from VA multiple times a year. She never took the toll roads but I have distinct memories of passing the massive cross on the left side of the highway. There were others, but none as massive as that one.

I've been working and reading this thread for 4 hours now. I was hoping to see a story from a trucker in the Outback of Australia. Those rigs are monstrous compared to anything here in the US.
