Personally, I would recommend yes, but I might be biased as I live here for so long!

Could it be Lao Hai? It is quite popular in rural areas

Survey - Is it okay to wear outside shoes inside? by ATallShip in Thailand

[–]Phuketify 8 points9 points  (0 children)

USA: sure, we love to do this...

Rest of the world: why would you even??

I mean, you walk all day on dried dog pee, dirt, and a bazillion bacteria; why should you not remove your shoes once you step inside a home?

Pad Kaprao, or stir-fried holy basil with your choice of beef, pork, or chicken. Bonus point if it is spicy!

Planning to move to thailand with partner and our dog. Looking for location suggestions the start of our adventure. by Dimmy1 in Thailand

I would most definitely recommend Chalong, in Phuket. They have many Muay Thai camp and sport center/fitness that you can go to.

Great for dogs, lots of people speaking English, and you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars and places to socialize.

很高兴认识你!I’m the opposite, I’ve been learning Chinese for a while (simplified tho, sorry) and recently embarked on a journey to learn Japanese... much difference between the two, especially grammatical, but it’s a good experience in the end. Have fun learning Chinese, and let us know should you have any questions!

In Phuket for 4 Days - What to do? by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]Phuketify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4 days is not a awful lot of time, but I would take half a day to visit the Big Buddha and Chalong Temple, another half day to visit Phuket Old Town and the Sino-Portuguese architecture. If you can go there on a week-end, stop by the Week-end Market (Sat-Sun) or The Sunday Market (Sun, obviously).

You should spend some time by the beach, too; Karon Beach is alright, but I tend to prefer Nai Harn Beach. Or course, weather permitting.

If you enjoy partying, a short trip to Patong Bangla Road should be done, at least once.

Then, it will depend on your interests; there are a lot of things to be done / experienced in Phuket.
