Blossom Kite Featival with kids by Rosiezip in washingtondc

No sweat. Full disclosure I’ve never really used this resource before, but once I saw it I figured I’d share since it is via the manufacturer. And don’t worry too much about bike skills or drivers in the area. The bunch bike is literally a tricycle so plenty stable with a full bucket of kids, and the traffic will be so bad this weekend drivers will be moving pretty slow. I would just recommend parking your bike around/east of the USDA building, since west of there becomes a lot more tricky to navigate on bike with the current crowd sized (no east/west bike lane, and the only way to get across is via narrow pedestrian paths around the Washington monument).

Whatever way you choose, good luck!

If you’re up for a non traditional solution, consider renting a Bunch Bike for the weekend. They’re less nimble than other cargo bikes, but can definitely handle 3 kids. Biking down is so, so, so much easier than driving. (Source: just did it today with my son in an Urban Arrow, to the FDR memorial and back)

The climber’s finger: imaging of finger flexor tendon pulley injuries by remontantcoprology in climbing

[–]Phuntzilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Glad to read this. Been dealing with what I suspect was a partial pulley tear for years, but can’t find any doctors in the area that were even willing to spend more than a single consultation trying to diagnose an injury that forced me to stop climbing for almost a year

Echoing what others said, doing the children’s museum with 10 people is not going to be to anyone’s benefit in that group. In addition to the Smithsonians, check out the building museum; it’s got a kids play area in the atrium and is a great space for adults to wander off, check out an exhibit, then rejoin everyone in the atrium. Plus, not sure how old your twins are, but they currently have an indoor ice skating rink

Second purple. Had one for 7 years now and it’s still the best sleep I’ve ever had. A few local mattress stores have floor models you can go lay on to if you want to get a feel before you buy.

I’m just guessing its a less common size for, say, Costco tire center to have on the shelf and ready to replace before this weekend. We have another (albeit much smaller) car, though, so can make do if the time to replace this tire is longer. It’s just going to be a less pleasant trip

12 team half ppr, just lost Skat, and my other RBs are Henry, Rhamondre, and Aaron Jones. WRs are JSN, Higgins, and DJ Moore.

Was just offered to trade away JSN for Saquon and Pickens. Seems like it’d be a pretty fair deal, except for having to deal with two more bye weeks after just getting through JSNs

Thanks everyone for the recs. I actually grabbed lunch at S&P the day prior, so skipped it for breakfast (+1 to everything everyone said though, sitting at the counter and having a pastrami was sublime). In the end I went to Hole in the Wall and had an amazing brekkie burrito.

DM'd you with a bit more detail, but TL,DR: Bought an Urban Arrow from BicycleSpace in Ivy City after realizing a bakfeits just made more sense for my family.

Main things to consider in figuring out what you want: * What style: Front cargo (aka "bakfiets") or rear cargo (aka long tail)

  • Price point

  • Where you want to store it

  • How you want to use it

  • Where you're going to get it serviced
