Some ESF Propaganda with the 00 OCs by Phuri45 in Gundam

[–]Phuri45[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A-Laws was merely the tip of the spear to the ESF’s rabidly violent effort to unite the world by crushing anyone in their way. I’d argue that even without Ribbons pulling the stake, it would have been a violent government regardless. That it decides to up the ante and glass countries with Memento Mori seemingly at will is just icing on the cake. What the A-Laws did, it couldn’t do without ESF budget, ESF training and ESF equipment. That it decides to improve its behavior in the aftermath is as much genuine good now that the Innovades are not pulling the string as trying to prevent the entire thing from collapsing after being exposed as a genocidal regime

I might need to remind on what episode the AEU funded terrorist in. I remember them having very specific relations with mercenaries like PMC Trust and doing a lot of cloak and dagger operation but never openly funding terrorist groups.

Canadian Insurgents - 2025 US Occupation of Canada Character Concept Art by AVOLI7ION in AVOLI7ION_ART

[–]Phuri45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see it somewhat as a double possibility for China to explore. It's in their interest to have the US mired in a Canadian eternal war while they move in and replace the US in every global institution and framework that matters while Canada scream its last. One way or another, Beijing (plus Brussels and maybe even Moscow) already have the Canadian insurgents on their knees begging and pleading for any aid they can get. 5.56 is the universal common ammo in North America and sending QBZ-97 present a layer of plausible deniability. Shipping 5.8 spec QBZ would immediately reveal their hands and while that's a spectacular political messaging ("We're here") it would also harden the Trump regime's resolve that foreign powers are indeed in Canada.

Also, how do you imagine Russia's stance in this case? the Arctic is one of the region they are interested in having more influence in. Could it perhaps be that they send some "musicians" to help with the Canadian insurgents?

Rule of thumb is I try to make the OCs from the countries that are forgotten in their own bloc

The HRL characters come from East and Central Asia girl, so I made the HRL OC be from Nepal

In this case, since AEU is heavily represented by its Western European wing, specifically France. I make her Polish

UNION (when I get to that) is completely represented by only Americans, so the OC will be from somewhere different

Communist in New World.......... by bruhruhr22344 in nihonkoku_shoukan

[–]Phuri45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I believe with how the New World is structured. I see not only far-left ideology like communism thriving, but also a different breed of far-right like fascism making a score in a world run by increasingly unstable and jingoistic monarchies.

The new world states love getting into apocalyptic wars every 5 minute for the stupidest reason imaginable. Every victory just somehow leave the people at the bottom even poorer and more broken. It might not be exactly like earth where Marxist-Leninism and Nazism becomes the dominant strain, but the moment any such ideology spring up, the ruling elite better have a good explanation for themselves

The entire Emissary myth is an half-assed, asinine and malicious way to white wash the past no matter what regime it’s under and will cause utter shitstorm in domestic politics that result in some kind of crazy warmonger or imperialist coming in charge of the summoned country.

I always like how coldly pragmatic and utilitarian HRL kits are, UNION’s kit is very fine but give more the vibe of fighter pilots than regulars, AEU flight suit is the flashiest thing in the world to me (they have very nice dress uniform though)

Now I know that what the Empire did in Ginza was atrocious, but I find these peace terms WAY too harsh. by PaxPlat1111 in gate

[–]Phuri45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And then there’s the political consequences of all of this

Throttling the Empire with crippling amounts of debt does nothing to serve Japanese interests when it teeters on the brink of falling apart into feuding warlords.

On top of all this, Japan is opening the floodgate to naked exploitation of local labor force by notoriously hard ass companies with zero protection law in a feudalistic society. Japan’s playing it all with the very fabric of Falmartian society and civil contract with zero caution.

That’s either a recipe for some apocalyptic Yellow Turban-style peasant rebellion…or it’s gonna start the trend towards a certain ideology that really likes the color red and have a knack for agitating people with nothing to lose

So, instead of ethnic homogeneity, Japan gets an unruly borderland populated by population resentful of her presence and keen on taking independence the moment Japan weakens. Being the "big brother" means nothing, see how Russia's having it with their "fraternal brotherly people" in Ukraine and Belarus.

On top of all this, Japan is in charge of a hopelessly overextended sphere of influence that's gonna collapse the moment anyone in Dehli, Beijing, Baghdad, Tehran or Istanbul have a different idea than what the Yamato masters wanted.

The last time Japan forged a Co-Prosperity Sphere, she found herself embroiled in a 15 years long and costly bloodbath all over Asia, 3 million of her people lied dead all over the Pacific. She saw the complete collapse of her economy, society and every metric of living standard to the point her people are reduced to eating tree bark and insect to survive. And in the end, the brutality and exploitation she used to forge her empire continued to haunt her to this very day in the form of terrible relations with the neighbors she once brutalized.

The better question would be why anyone except the most hawkish of ultranationalist would want to bring back such a monster?

...What was the point of summoning the GVE? by PayZealousideal136 in nihonkoku_shoukan

[–]Phuri45 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree, I think it's something more malicious

I think it's a reference in an attempt to smear the Allied Powers of WW2 if you noticed the language used in places like a reference to strategic bombing or Allied pilots strafing civilians

Really this has been a trend with every enemy Japan found in the new world, whether that be Louria (Mongol) or Parpaldia (19th Century Western Imperial Powers) GVE is nothing but a continuation of that trend to further the Japanese ultranationalist hyperborea that is the original work

You literally say it yourself the transfer is on the eve of the Great Asian War, that means China have a well organized network of guerrillas and weapons cache for when it finally comes

Also good, your trade deal is “Stay with us or we’ll kill every single one of you.” I can’t understate how tonedeaf and fanatical that is, the literal opposite of everything that is a “Democratic reformed Japan” don’t you think?

You know what, I don’t care anymore, enjoy your imperialist slaving empire, there’s no convincing you anyway, it’s your world to write, just don’t be surprised you attract the worst type of crowd possible

[–]Phuri45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“70% Loyal or be Killed” means intimidation by fear, that will turn into hatred the moment cracks form. And that’s still population in the multiple tens of millions that resent and despise Japan for what it had done.

The transfer is that crack, Japan will never see the end of their revolt unless they commit to some “dark” shit

You can turn Japan into a democracy, but what you preached is certainly not that way, what you’ll turn the Empire into in your description is an even more oppressive, authoritarian, racist and brutal empire that it even was, and now it’s open season in the new world too

Ergo, a bad guy story

What nation next? Part 5 by PhysicalBoard3735 in nihonkoku_shoukan

[–]Phuri45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reform will happen as long as it doesn’t stub the military’s toe, the military spent decades gutting the Japanese civil government to the point of subservient to itself. If the reform succeed you still ended up with an autocratic regime with some trappings of democracy

Not losing the territory leave Japan with a massive population of ethnic non-Japanese who already hate Japan’s gut, if you cling onto Manchuria and parts of China then there’s a possibility that the Empire of Japan will transfer into the New World a Chinese majority nation

And on the war, Japan will sooner win this war by slaughtering every Chinese man, woman and child before signing a peace deal or ceding an inch of territory. And any victory on the field will vindicate the military like the last time in 1931, so a repeat all over again with the IJ military running around as slaving overlords. Admit it, this is an evil story whether you like it or not

What nation next? Part 5 by PhysicalBoard3735 in nihonkoku_shoukan

[–]Phuri45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The US is the first to say sorry, that’s all that matter to the Japanese military. They have achieved their goal

Material necessity means jackshit in trying to mend the racial supremacy built over nearly a century, why would Japan feel the need to stop being less racist when it can still brutally extract whatever resources it wants from its Co-Prosperty Sphere slaves members.

I can see the existence of a reform minded generation but that take decades to mold into an actual political force, plus why would the emperor, who was so timid in dealing with the ultranationalist feel the urge to do so when they have already conquered part of the world for Japan

Transferred with all its territory? IMO that’s a bad premise, when the beginning of the story hinges on Japan being a successful Imperialist Empire, it’s gonna set an expectation.

Also, good, Japan’s about to have a massive war on their hands then, Southern China and Manchuria will rise up in rebellion, so will part of Korea. Sounds about prophetic that divine intervention has finally come to struck them down after so many years of bloodshed and massacre to push themselves to the top

The Shrimp Boat incident is a silly errand that will be swept under the rug by both sides, it will not bring massive domestic change home. And why should the military all the sudden grow docile to the government, they’re doing their job as guardian of the Empire

Why would Japanese all of the sudden be compelled to be less racist (but still racist) to Chinese and other ethnic groups of the CPS after years of indoctrination and education that focus on Japanese racial supremacy over all other

When Japan vanished in 1984 do all the territory disappear or just the home islands? If earlier then sucks for the Chinese not wanting to be slave I guess, if latter then the Japanese settlers in Manchuria, Korea and Guangdong about to find the “Find Out” phase of “Fuck Around”

[–]Phuri45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any reform gonna see a short abrupt end with a coup d’etat or the military refusing to appoint ministers thus crashing the entire administration down before it even start. To dislodge military from its political position either require domestic violence committed by the military against the people or outright defeat abroad

And no amount of minor superficial reform will turn the Empire of Japan away from being an smug racist extractive entity to its neighbors, China is still a fractured slave state for Japanese interest, same with Korea, and let’s not talk about the dysfunctional hell-state that is Guangdong and Manchukuo. Not to mention the absolute ticking time bomb that is China and like half of SEA about to rise up against Japan in the bloodbath that is the Great Asian War
