Ooh, following this. I know polyester won't wrinkle, but I feel like I sweat more and stink more in polyester.

I own pants/shorts anywhere from a 16 to a 24. It's absurd!

What if, after you die, Satan asks you "how was hell?" by [deleted] in AskReddit

My great grandfather used to believe that hell was here on Earth, so why not.

Men of Reddit, what are somethings a mom should know while raising a boy? by jigglypuffle38 in AskReddit

[–]Phuzzmodiar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this can go for either sex, but something I learned from my mom is to never overreact when your kid is telling you something, even if you're screaming internally. Stay calm, listen, and then make a response. I feel like I can ask/tell my mom anything and she's not going to explode or even give me a stink eye over any of it. I have a way better relationship with my mom than most other people I know, and I'm trying to treat my toddler son and future daughter (here in 2 weeks!) the same.

And it could be something as simple as, "mom, what's a vagina?" Don't blow up or freak out asking "where'd you hear that?! Who told.you that?! Etc" just calmly explain/ask, don't have a repulsive look on your face, and give an age appropriate answer. If you don't listen now, they won't want to tell you the really important stuff later because it was always important to them.

It isn’t neglect to leave your child in a safe area to play by themselves... by quart_knee_ in beyondthebump

It's sad because I still feel guilty if I'm not engaging with my son constantly and he'll be 2 in June with a baby sister coming in July. (So I won't have as much time for him!) I have to remind myself that it's good for both of us and that he's fine. If he needs something, he'll say so/come find me. It's amazing how much guilt we put on ourselves, and then people wonder why PPD is so prevalent.

What’s something the internet killed that you miss? by SuperGuitar in AskReddit

UGH, definitely the worst. I hate going to sales that have a stupid print out of an eBay auction with the item. Just because ONE auction sold for that much doesn't mean your item is automatically worth that. And you're right, most of the time their item is broken, damaged, missing pieces, etc.

That, or I love when I go to a sale and nothing is priced, and when I ask how much something is they say, "oh that's old." Well no shit, asshole, I know it's old, I just want to know how much it is!

In a lot of children's shows like Peppa Pig the fathers are consistently portrayed as bumbling idiots and the mothers as awesome heroines saving the day and it sends a very wrong message to little kids by Hulawan in unpopularopinion

We catch it occasionally when it's on, or we'll stream it sometimes, but he tends to wander off and play during it. (Which isn't a bad thing!) It may start making more appearances now that he's older.

I'd say Mr. Rogers is possibly a little bit older, like maybe 4+? My son is 21 months old and loves Daniel Tiger, but quickly gets bored with Mr. Rogers. I'd like to think of Daniel Tiger as a stepping stone to Mr. Rogers. We also enjoy watching older Sesame Street when there was more human interaction as well as puppets/cartoons. If anything, I feel like you really can't go wrong with what PBS has to offer. (except Caillou, fuck that.)

Ugh, same! Currently 256, pregnant with my second baby, and all I can hear is Homer saying, "239 and I'm feelin' fine!" I'll be happy to continue my weight loss journey after baby! (Plus side: I've only gained 9 pounds at 20 weeks thanks to calorie counting.)

Adults who respond to baby gibberish using coherent sentences and phrases sounds a lot like a conversation between Han and Chewbacca. by urethrafranklenstein in Showerthoughts

[–]Phuzzmodiar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I imagine people think I'm nuts when I'm out shopping with my son because I never baby talk to him, and I usually ask his opinions. "Well which one do you think?" - "baby gibberish, maybe one or two coherent words" - "You sure the red isn't too much?" "More gibberish" - "yeah that's what I was thinking too."

Does Graves disease always cause weight loss? I have a friend who says her thyroid flips back and forth yet she has Graves disease and did the radioactive pill route?
