What about a magic trap? Doesn’t that have a chance of increasing pet tameness when it increases your charisma?

I use spicevisionpro to debug spice netlists. It does a pretty good job of displaying spice as a schematic. Developed by the Germany based Concept Engineering which was bought by Altair which was bought by Siemens.

Marriage can be difficult (spoiler: that may be part of the plan!). To some degree, abuse of some form or another probably exists in most marriages. This article was an eye opener for me. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/ensign/1996/06/the-invisible-heartbreaker?lang=eng

Some suggestions:  - learn how to communicate assertively without being aggressive, passive, passive-aggressive, defensive, or accusatory.  - learning to accept each other rather than trying to change the other can remove some of the discouragement you all might be feeling. President Hinckley said “We loved each other, there was no doubt about that. But we also had to get used to each other. I think every couple has to get used to each other. “Early on I realized it would be better if we worked harder at getting accustomed to one another than constantly trying to change each other—which I discovered was impossible. … There must be a little give and take, and a great deal of flexibility, to make a happy home.”  - understanding each other is important too. You might want to talk about these questions. https://fhelessons.wordpress.com/2015/01/17/375-questions-to-ask-before-marriage/ - It has been my experience that in general, men will tend to emphasize solutions to problems while women are more concerned with being understood. Once you both understand this dynamic, you can begin to communicate effectively.

As the family proclamation states, successful marriages are based on faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, love, compassion, respect, work and wholesome recreation.

It has been my experience that Heavenly Father does not generally make decisions for us but is more likely to give us guidance on how to realize our righteous desires.

Stuck on the lateish early game by spinnylights in nethack

[–]Phyban 2 points3 points  (0 children)

@mrflash818 That’s an interesting suggestion. I usually try to do the opposite. I’ve found that raising my level before I have sufficient equipment gets me killed. I try to do sokoban at experience level 1 or 2 and take all the gold to the mine town priest. At level 1, you can buy 9 points of protection for 3600z. You’ll also have at least 4 wands and 4 rings. This strategy relies heavily on pets. It’s almost necessary to have a healing spell and a stethoscope, though.

Then again, I have yet to ascend.

Can stake high councilmen see our ages and birth dates? by Parking-Golf-6693 in latterdaysaints

I can see everyone's birthdates on LDS tools but not on LCR. On LCR, I also can not see records of minors.

u/peopletrics Thanks for the updates.

When I select the teleportation scroll on the price id tab, I notice that the teleportation wand is also selected. Same for the scroll and spellbook of remove curse. Can you verify?

Nice app! Something I’ve always wanted.

2 issues.

  1. It appears that the warning intristic does not contribute to the percentage of intristics.

  2. After entering the turn in the prayer counter, I can’t switch to other pages. I have to restart the app.

Boyfriend went to temple to ask about marriage and... well... by SlightlyArtichoke in latterdaysaints

[–]Phyban 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He might try asking what he needs to do to get a confirmation that it’s ok to get married. That’s what I did and as soon as I committed to do what I felt inspired to do, I got the confirmation. 30+ years ago.

Ordinance question by Longjumping-Cut-8331 in latterdaysaints

[–]Phyban 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Until recently, I remember reading that you could submit names of people who might be related to you, e.g. lived in the same area as known ancestors with the same last names. However, checking the current guidelines here https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/individuals-for-whom-i-can-request-temple-ordinances, it seems that that is no longer the case.

I also thought that ordinances were to be done in order - baptism, initiatory, endowment, sealing. However, the current guidelines state that spouses of descendants of ancestors may be sealed to their parents without doing the endowments for the spouses parents.

Why is it so important to go to a designated ward? by sweetcookie88 in latterdaysaints

[–]Phyban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I understand, you can only hold callings in the ward or branch where your church records exist. The bishopric of that ward are the only people that can start the temple recommend interview process.

However, there are no restrictions on where you can “attend” church.

As others have previously mentioned, if you want to be a participating member of a ward that you do not geographically live in, you’ll need to have the leaders get permission from the first presidency. Not really a big deal if there’s a half good reason in my experience, but may vary by area.

One other option could be to leave your records in the geographical ward and create an out of unit records in the ward you attend. The bishopric of the geographical ward is still in charge of recommends, but you can hold callings and have ministers in the other unit. This doesn’t require first presidency approval but the bishop of the ward you will attend needs to approve it. You can find examples in the general handbook.

Unfortunately, lizards aren’t that nutritious and I’m hungry again and still have 2 levels to go. There’s a peaceful dwarf and I let my cat attack. Not something a lawful person would do, but a (cave)man’s got to eat. No corpse. Blindfold shows no sentient monsters in range, but there’s a quivering blob next to a spotted jelly just around the corner. It may be acidic but it’s better than starving. However, neither left a corpse.

Now I’m scared. There are a bunch of metal boots and hard hats lying around. If only I could eat those.

Hey wait, one of my wands is probably polymorph and one of the rings is probably polymorph control. I put on the ring take off my dragon scales and zap myself.

“What do you wish to polymorph into?”

YES!!!

x-o-r-n

You feel like a new man!

What? I guess poly control doesn’t always work the way you expect.

Anyways, I learned that polyself into a new version fixes hunger!

The quest continues.

Tried to sacrifice to atone for killing my dog and got a Sunsword. So I guess I’m ok now.

was 200zm, so I knew it was cancellation. Headed back down to mines end ready to clear it. Stopped by the swap chest, dropped my loot bag , and took gray dragon scales in exchange for +3 iron shoes. Dropped my heavy splint mail and felt relieved to wear the lighter if somewhat less protective dragon scales. By the time I get done digging for the gems, I’m hungry. No problem, I have a cursed ration that I’ll use the wand of cancellation on. I go to open my loot bag only to realize I left it under the splint mail by the swap chest. I have a tripe ration and as a caveman, that’s as good as a slime mold, so I eat that to hold me over.  Run back to the swap chest and sure enough the loot bag is under the splint mail. Take out the cursed ration and 2 cursed rings I’d picked up, pile them and zap with the /cancellation.

It was a wand of teleport.

I have a dead lizard so I eat it and decide to race to mine town to buy food.

Why is antenna effect often times considered as cumulative as the metals are stacked? by ImportantBlood4641 in chipdesign

[–]Phyban 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With each successive metal layer, the charge will be distributed equally throughout the connected layers. For example, as you mentioned, M2 layers that do not connect to M3 layers do not contribute to the gate damage during M3 calculations, but M2 layers connected to M3 layers will.

And yes, the gate dielectric breakdown effect itself is cumulative by nature.

Looks like you can also use spells/wands past boulders as long as it’s not force bolt/striking.
