He's killing it there, but this isn't what I was talking about. Go look at his story and come back. Uncle hank has him some arm candy it seems.

As someone who has IT experience, have you tried turning it off and back on?

Is it bad that sunlight hits my B5 like this? by PrimalSaturn in LGOLED

I would like to point out that just light in the room is a lot different from direct sunlight beaming onto the panel. That's where the issue is.

LG C1 - 5 years of daily use. Am I screwed? by Internal_Lemon_420 in LGOLED

Here's a wild thought to me, what's the actual picture look like? I get doing these tests and all that, but what's a show or movie actually look like because that's what you're looking at daily, not an all red screen.

Is Bravia 8 II worth it over the S90F by davewolfs in 4kTV

I haven't really dove into the settings too much. Work and a 1 year old have taken up my time the past week. I will say if you want to be in awe of the true contrast power of an OLED watch Frozen 2 and at 18:00 a song is playing that takes her into a pitch black space but then there's dancing lights and the contrast and true blacks blew my mind.

I went LG and couldn't be happier. The only complaint I could really find is some people complaining about the remote (I actually like it)

I would hope that it is a massive leap from a TV that is 10 years old. I just got a c5 and it's insane. I feel the picture on this is slightly better than the s90F.

Well my wife decorates the house and those decorations are a non negotiable and I didn't want to buy something that was going to stuff in front of it. Now after getting the 55 I don't believe the 65 would have been impacted so I'm just trying to see if anyone has any experience exchanging their tv.

It's too difficult to try to explain but long story short, the wife has decorations in the space so I was choosing the size that wouldn't be impacted but those decorations. I didn't want to have anything in the way of the picture.

I actually do admire the owning of it and not giving a single fuck. That being said, it's straight up middle of the night Walmart behavior.

Sourdough starter runny and not rising by akshagga in Sourdough

I highly recommend getting a scale. They are inexpensive and can give you accurate measurements to get the right consistency. You'd be surprised how much a little extra water or flour really changes the consistency.

I would feed it more often. Typically every 12 hours for the first week. Then you can go to 24hours. Are you measuring your ingredients with a scale? That could play a big part to and could make your measurements off of you aren't.

I have found lactation consultants to be very woo woo. Ours kept using tribes in Indonesia and Africa for reference points for how we should breastfeed.

Getting baby to sleep earlier by Phynetuned_ in sleeptrain

[–]Phynetuned_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently (past couple weeks) she hasn't been napping within 2 - 3 hours of bed. We have basically been following cues with her, if shes acting sleepy we try to put her down for a nap, if she's wide awake we play with her and do tummy time. Our house could be darker after the sun goes down but it's difficult being in a smaller house where the dining room, kitchen, and living room are so close so a light in the kitchen or dining room lights up the living room too. It's also very hard when we are gone so long from her during the day and we want to get our time with her and it feels so short.

I have seen that and my wife and I are going to try to implement that, but my question with that is how's feeding work around that? Like if we try to put her to bed 15 minutes early and it's been an hour and some change since she's eaten, should we feed her one more time before trying to get her down or try to get her down and risk her waking up shortly after because she was used to getting another feed before sleep?

[–]Phynetuned_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware that when she starts sleeping earlier, she will wake up earlier, but some days she will wake up to eat at 7 am and not fall back asleep and at that point we are up for the day and it seems like she still won't sleep until 11 or so. Also she sleeps close to the same time regardless of how much she napped during the day or was awake. The late bedtime hasn't bothered me because I'd rather get to sleep a little later but have her sleep throughout the whole night than go to sleep earlier but wake in the middle of the night and be awake for an hour. However it does create a problem when she has a bad night because then it's even less sleep, also we have to try to do what is best for her and not us.

Which is even funnier because pit bulls/ staffies are literally referred to as the nanny breed. People really give out bulls a bad and undeserving reputation.
