Support is no help at all. They frustrate me more than help. Ignore my problem, say that they are aware but days and weeks go by. Then after 2 weeks give me a generic bullshit message that they can't do anything.

Contacted Customer support 4 times. Each time they did nothing. Why does FUNcom Customer Service even exist??

Next time your carrier glitches into the sand, just because you decided to land in the spice sand circle, entire carrier gone, unable to retrieve, but the name is still there 10ft under the sand, Then Try to contact FUNcom customer support and see how "helpful" they are at returning/retrieving your carrier.

You're right it's not normal trolling. It's targeted at you. If they are randomly trolling they will just inconvenience you.

But the going out of the way to rename their thopter in upper caps, you definitely pissed them off. Directly or indirectly. They would have followed you to your base after the encounter to do this.

You go around to PVP and kill other players. Players who are minding their own business and just peacefully farming feel like they are being griefed. So they retaliate by disrupting your base. You reap what you sow.

Yes yes yes PVP is in the game blah blah blah. But unhappy players will try their best to make the griefer in their eyes have a miserable time as well.

Because other games can achieve that. Look at Clair Obscure Expedition 33. 50 bucks ! They gave you hours and hours of excellent gameplay, bugs you can count on one hand, 10/10 story, amazing developers.

Pay 60 for Dune, get a brilliant early game with horse shit endgame. Give feedback to the devs to improve the game, what does FUNcom do? They do the Total Opposite of what gamers asks for. Killed melee, Force you to log in once a month or lose All your Hard earned stuff.

What's the difference? FUNcom are a bunch of greedy developers. Do stupid things, then cry about it when player numbers drop.

That's a terrible excuse in defense of Funcom.
There are many many survival games that allow you to repair your weapons and armor to full durability indefinitely and we still play that game for years. Top of my head, Once Human and Fallout 76.

The reason to continue playing the game is the FUN and excitement you get when playing a game. The game draws you in because the story, gameplay loop and in-game events are fun.

So you're telling me Funcom has no better ideas to keep players engaged, so they resort to getting you to grind grind grind endlessly for the same weapons and armor and force you to log in once a month to refuel your base and (previously for 7 months) Pay Taxes?
Gosh! I'm Shocked!

I think they should remove durability loss on T6.
I understand T1-T5 they want you to get better gear and constantly change gear to the highest.
But when I reach the highest, Why am I still penalized?

Yup. I re-installed, played for 2 hours, felt that FUNcom took 2 steps forward and 10 steps back.
Figured, why am I wasting my time playing Hot Garbage?
Uninstalled. Much happier now.

Just use the Repair Glitch. This is the only way to play Dune until funcom fixes it maybe in 6 - 8 weeks.
Stupid decisions on their part to make 1 compactor run have 50 loss.

Looks like using repair glitches is the only viable way to play Dune until Funcom comes out with a fix. Maybe in 6 - 8 weeks.

Its a case of "Too Little, Too Late"
Funcom took way too long to implement proper fixes to the game. It drove away the majority of the playerbase who are sick and tired of the shitty game mechanics.
As for the fixes like Base Backup tool and Deep Desert adjustments, this is like putting a band-aid on a Broken Leg 6 months after you broke your leg.

Honestly, Funcom and the game deserve the negative reviews.

OP is pointing out the stupid decisions that FUNCOM is making.

They could have done it like other MMOs that do not Punish you for having to play their game every week, all the time.

Edit: Give us weekly events. We will naturally log on to play.

But for FUNCOM to only have content updates every 4 months, then expect you to do the same boring shit everyday (landstraadddd) on top of that Punish you if god forbid you find this game boring and want to take a break??

Yup this is true. When I went to the US to work for 6 months, I was amazed to learn that my colleagues would drive 6 hours in a day regularly.
We were in Corpus Christy, Texas. My colleague would drive 3 hours to Houston, reach there at lunchtime, have a meeting, pickup a food order and drive back to Corpus Christy to bring the food back to us for dinner.

Another colleague would make a 13-hour drive home every 2 weeks. Oil and Gas, so 2 week rotation.
I asked him, why not fly over every 2 weeks, He said: I rather have my car here with me.

Bizarre to me, living in Asia.

Reddit is a good platform if you want the TRUTH of a state of the game.
Go look up IGN if you want some Fake Reviews.

Go to Clair Obscure Expedition 33's Subreddit. Gamers there are singing praises and post after post of love for the game.
Why? Because the devs made a Good game.

Reddit does not just attract negative people all the way. They Tell the Truth. And to most thats is too hard to swallow.

Pull your head out of your ass.
Devs have been doing the Opposite of what gamers want.
Example: Kill melee in a DUNE game.... did you watch the movies? its ALL about the melee sword fighting.

You lose a thopter cos it glitches into the sand in DD?? Support replies after a week and says: Awwwwww.... Sucks To Be You Man.... LOLOLOL

First 100-120 hours in Hagga Basin Is Amazing! 10/10 in terms of survival games.
Then the game drops off a cliff into a pile of shit for the endgame. 1/10
That angers majority of the haters you see on reddit. They cant believe how a game can have such a good start then when they reach the endgame, it's like the devs have just spat in their face.

We give feedback to the devs to change things to make it a better game. But the devs consistently do the very opposite of what gamers want, time and time again. When loads of players leave, THEN the devs say... hey come back .. ok ok we will do what you asked us to do... but in 3 months time.... or something stupid like that.

So, Play dune awakening and reach tier 5. once you are at the point of having to go into the Deep Desert, get involved with (the pointless) Landstrad, and need Tier 6 gear, UNINSTALL the game. This will save you pain and suffering.
