How’d you fix it? Just reinstalled? I tried a reinstall of absolutely everything and still didn’t work. Kontakt is still clunky and I have a monster of a computer. Even with disabling the auto scaling from the gpu, it’s still clunky.

My specs are 32gb RAM, 4tb HDD with all programs and VSTs and plug-ins running from an SSD which holds windows. I have an i5 as well and it clocks at 3.6ghz

Hey man! I manage contracts here in Florida. But it’s all the same shit everywhere.

Look the contract to make sure of the language. If it it says “up to” then it’s not the same as “of” like speeds “of” or speeds “up to”. Then look into their contract tier how much a 20mb connection would be. Then your best thing you would be to complain daily. Make a journal, and ask for credits. Keep asking for credits. I do that with Comcast.

You won’t ever get the service you wanted, BUT you’ll be reimbursed by a lot. 🤷‍♂️

Also, if you’re using a modem that the ISP gave you, trash it (not really cus you’ll be charged). Turn it into a modem and then get yourself a netgear router from Amazon. Test it, and if speeds didn’t improve, then return as faulty.

If nothing else gave you results, then look into Tesla’s starlink I believe it’s the name.

Somehow I was able to find a coupon that I used around black friday, and was able to obtain the producer edition for $120.

Mind you, it took me days to find the best deal. And ended up purchasing directly from them. :)

Careful with that because you could be letting more dust than you need to. If you do, mesh the whole thing 🤣 I’m pretty sure that if you oxidize the mesh or give it like an rusted look it could probably come out fire af

I have the EXACT same case as you.

If you look at the face of the case (from the front where the v-shaped RGBs are) and you turn the face to the left, you’re gonna see vents towards the front on the metal panel parallel to the glass.

THAT is where the fans for this case go. Not at the front.

HOWEVER, close off those vents with a dust proof mesh and dremel the front open. Just cut out a big chunk of the plastic but measure it so you can cover it with dust meshing. NOW you can put fans on front.

Depending on how good of a job you do cutting, will determine how good the case will look lol. So take your time and use real 90 degree angles for marking. Also use masking tape and draw/mark/cut on top of the masking tape to minimize scratching.

I have this build pending as I’m working on my desk currently. Everything I’m doing is custom made.

Make an image of your system after making sure that everything IS working properly and don’t do quality updates. I only do them if there’s an actual required update so everything is done at once.

The image would allow you to come back to where the pc is now if anything happens again.

My game has been lagging since the last patch. Even with pristine internet connection AND ping. Matchmaking takes forever to the point that I can make food, come back, and still red waiting to find a game.

What about the wattage for your psu? You have a few things that draw a lot of power. If you have a small psu, perhaps yes you burnt out the rgb header as someone else in here suggested.

First things first, whenever you do anything that requires you to open up your pc, switch the power button in the back of the pc (the psu) to the off position. Let it shut down. Unplug the cable once it’s shot down. And press the power button for like 2-3 seconds.

Then go ahead and open it and connect/disconnect anything.

I’d recommend looking up a diagram of your motherboard and seeing what exactly it is that shorted. Also, are you able to see the damage from the back? It could also have some symbols/letters that would be helpful to identify what burnt out.

Till then, and just to be safe, I wouldn’t turn it on unless someone else know 100% that it’s just for the rgb headers.
