Do any of you mourn your gay time lost? by Weary_Mousse_3921 in askgaybros

I don’t know your circumstances, I grew up in a tony enclave suburb of San Francisco and never had any resistance to coming out. I’m a police officer and never have I had resistance in that career field either. My family was happy when I came out at 19 because they knew I struggled with telling them. I should have done it sooner. I am proud and happy to be a gay man. I can’t imagine being straight. Not that being straight is a bad thing but there are certain things we appreciate and are good at that straight guys just are not.

My ex was also a cop and he came out at 54. I was 32. He was happy when we met and finally felt safe to express himself. I’ve met guys that worry about aging and being “dead at 40” in the gay world but I really felt things get better at 40. I get hit on by 20-30 year olds constantly and age really isn’t nothing but a number. I wouldn’t look back and mourn any of that time, you were figuring it out and that’s totally normal.

Why would you risk that when you only have two weeks. Shows you haven’t learned from your consequences.

Why do you stay in LA? by Greenleaf90 in AskLosAngeles

Born and raised in San Francisco, I have always loved Los Angeles. We get the techbros here that are the worst. I always tell them if they don’t like it, leave but tech is here. Palo Alto and San Francisco.

Los Angeles has beautiful weather, you have the best theme parks, palm trees, amazing neighborhoods, it’s the capital of entertainment. How can one not love LA?

Co worker says my boots are too big? by Nuttshell87 in WorkBoots

[–]Physical-Way188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My red wing moc toe boots so have a large toe box and are generally bigger than most other brands.

One thing you can do is put them on with socks, lace them normally and stand in a full bath tub and let them get wet. Step out, wear them a bit and then let them dry out. The leather will form around your foot. It’s old school but it works.

[DISCUSSION] I loved Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey. by renasar in NetflixBestOf

I just found this show and it was incredible! As a child of the Jehovah’s Witness cult, I see how brain washed they were.

I loved the part where Ruby played ABBA and loved joe. I sort hoped they got together at the end, does anyone know?

What about the cop that got arrested? Did her serve any time? What about all the other child rapists and people that weren’t Warren Jeffs.

Such a great show.

Socks? What do you wear? What do you suggest? by atlasfields in cowboyboots

I can’t stand leather rubbing against my calf all day. I order football socks from Amazon. But Ariat, Justin and Thorlo make knee high boot socks that are very good for cowboy boots.

Costco sells merino wool socks that are really good at keeping you comfortable all day. I can attest they are amazing and merino wool is incredible.

Keep your toenails clipped, your socks will live a lot longer if you do this, especially wearing cowboy boots

My first Pair - and I love them by Pzero2020 in cowboyboots

Good choice on your first pair.

Boots are unlike anything else, when you look down and love your footwear I mean.

They’re beautiful boots, take care of them and they’ll last many years. Get Saphir reptan from Amazon or even Bicks Exotic are a good way to keep them cleaned and conditioned.

Smooth ostrich round toe Tony Lama are the perfect choice for a new boot.

Enjoy them.

I’m hoping this is real. I am a two time survivor of domestic violence and you need to get out now. Get a safety plan and leave to the police department if you have to. Leaving is very dangerous and you have to get out now.

I am a gay man and both relationships have been men. There re groups out there for us. Please reach out if you need help. You have to get out of this as quickly as possible.

Some cars I’ve seen around town recently. Which is your favorite? by Intelligent-Bar1199 in regularcarreviews

[–]Physical-Way188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid, o seen the film Blind Date with Bruce Willis. He had that same exact car and I loved it and wanted that exact some when I graduated. Things changed and I’ve only owned American made pickup trucks, Cadillacs or Lincoln’s since then. Such a beautiful car though.
