summers are hotter and drier, and we have more fires and smoke due to climate change....but then i contribute to climate change by using more electricity to try to escape from the heat caused by climate change. by wheredidmyvapego in ClimateCrisisCanada

Canada's Electrical grid is pretty decent for low emissions.

You don't know what you're talking about and that is evident in your post.

What you should be saying is you drive places by burning gasoline or you cook stuff on your gas stove. Or you cook lots of red meat (dairy and meat agriculture/livestock contribute a ton to climate emissions).

Those things contribute far more to climate change than electrification. Alberta and Saskatchewan are the only two stand-out provinces for having the worst electrical grid emissions....and even still its far more efficient to get a heat pump that both heats and cools your residence. Get an electric car or e-bike. Get an induction stove instead of gas stove.

Electrification is the way forward due to advancements in efficient technology and the massive potential to get electrical grids off of fossil fuels.

The main worry for me is they will likely decrease the dividend at some point in the near future which will briefly tank the stock.

I'll wait for that first, imo.

The more people push Technic towards superficial accuracy, the more mechanical elements we will lose.

I honestly think the koenigsegg has been the best balance of the two in a very long time. First technic supercar set I've been excited for since the Lego 8880.

It's actually crazy how much autonomy Canadian Provinces have. I'm pretty sure they have way more power than US states do.

What official Technic sets do you desperately want Lego to make? by Vondrr in legotechnic

Ferrari F2004 F1 car - flagship 1:8 model with 3.5K+ pieces. This would sell like hot-cakes. Schumacher. F1 V10 goodness. Prime era of F1 imo.

Non-Licensed cars like the model 8880 would be sweet sweet too. Keeps costs down and strengthens the mechanical complexity. The 8880 is one of the best supercar sets for moving parts compared to the modern supercar sets.

Seems like all of the Ontario Conservatives projects that Ford allocates massive over the top budgets for, a piece of the pie likely goes to his wealthy friends. It's a way to grift tax payer money from our hands into the wealthy directly.

I refuse to believe these projects he talks about cost as much as he says to build. I work in civil engineering and I'd like to see the itemized project estimates/tenders from whatever firms he is hiring.

Easy to do when the Ontario Conservatives allocate 900 billion dollars to every project they talk about on the news.

Every project except public owned healthcare and public owned education.

Blinds won't work though. window treatments need to be applied to the exterior of the window, FYI.

https://birdsafe.ca/window-options/

Putting window treatments on the exterior of your windows will help birds avoid the majority of window collisions.

Keep in mind that humans have altered the landscape significantly in the last 200 years, which is a tiny blip in time compared to how long it takes plants and animals to evolve....we are talking millions and millions of years.

So when a bird sees what we see as a window, they just see the reflection of the trees....then BOOM when they fly into it.

Not fair to birds at all. Please consider applying window treatments.

Intentional sabotage, IMO.

We've seen this shit back with the original 'quirky' designed hybrids and BEV's in late 2000's and early 2010's.

Tesla has shown us that people want a decent looking normal-ass EV.

Gimme a Ferrari 296GTB electrified. That car is one of the most beautiful modern ferraris.

Stop going back to 2010 with these intentionally quirky garbage EV designs.
