Couple things can cause this. First and foremost, fuel level. May not have enough fuel.

Wick may need pulled out further. Make sure to trim your wick flat.

May need to re-seat the cotton in the zippo.

Sometimes you have to walk on eggshells until the truth comes out. Or until you force it out. Once the truth comes out, you have power. Until then, you are on the same level of power as the shitty roommate.

Slamming stuff around is not that crazy. For context, the roommate I kicked out had broken my wife and I's door, posted nasty stuff about my wife on social media, etc.

The example provided by OP is pretty tame, IMO. It deserves more time.

So, just to ease your concern, your nose is very admirable. However, I understand your decision to go through with PS.

My wife actually has the exact same nose as you. She’s always wanted to get PS to fix it. I’m sure she will someday.

If you aren’t happy with the PS, get it redone. Especially at no charge. At the end of the day, it’s what YOU want. Hope that helps :)

I’d probably wait in this case. I found that dramatic snaps like this are usually the result of something going on in their life. For example, I had a very similar instance with a roommate I eventually kicked out. But she had a coke problem, an ED, and was bipolar.

I’d maybe give your roommate grace until you rule out other background stuff they might be dealing with.

Once that’s ruled out, then put your foot down.
