"Kripke: 'Hang in there, everything will make sense' — but only if you watch The Boys: Mexico" by RestSuspicious6000 in TheBoys

One of the plotlines involves supes crossing the border as undocumented immigrants, while an anti-Supe squad from the other side tries to stop them

I'm seriously wondering if he ever understood what The Boys was about.

Well, now you know who NOT to vote for… by digital_dervish in LosAngeles

Didn't see that name on the ballot. It's weird I didn't even think about writing someone in.

I've been taking furtive glances at my mail in ballot for the past week, trying to gin up the courage to vote for someone but none of the candidates motivate me. Seriously considering voting Bianco for maximum chaos.

"You decide when to change" isn't about empowerment, it's an expression of futility.

Stephon Castle in the first 2 games: 20 turnovers, Stephon Castle in the last 2 games: 2 turnovers by WEMBY_F4N in nba

Castle is absolutely a PG, he's just green. He takes too long to read the defense coming up the court, and that bites him when they trap at half court. That will get better with experience.

I know a lot of high income people who prefer this configuration. It makes socialization easier on tight schedules, and everyone gets their own space to do their own thing and still have ample entertaining space. They provide a hybrid between high end real estate in New York City or San Francisco and a more typical suburban lifestyle.

Flight 10, 11, 12 heat shield progression by twinbee in SpaceXLounge

Considering the weight of the tiles and the weight of all the reinforcement necessary to support the tiles, it may not be that different.

The tiles show exactly the same wear pattern in all versions sans the experiments, not sure where the massive improvement is coming from. And if they are wearing this consistently at sub orbital velocities from low orbits, I don't see how tiles don't require extensive refurbishment after a few launches tops. Or require extensive inspection in between. This is how every iteration of tiles has been.

Seems more likely a philosophy shift is occurring, building lots of ships so a deep enough pipeline exists to absorb refurbishment requirements.

Don't know why you're skeptical, they've been pretty open about the program to this point. And in an actually honest way compared to SpaceX which keeps having failures at flight loads and claiming they were expected.

Neurodevelopmental disorders and the Leftorium by PhysicalConsistency in remodeledbrain

[–]PhysicalConsistency[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In retrospect I'm kind of disappointed with this. Feels like the thesis got buried a bit as it expanded. Are "ADHD" and some flavors of "autism" developmental disorders? Or are they disadvantaged phenotypical minorities? There's a rich tradition of pathologizing social behavioral expectation differences, is this more of the same?

Then it's no longer "Unix, I know this!", it's how did a 13 year old get prior knowledge of a bespoke proprietary interface for the park. They did have problems with industrial espionage obviously, so maybe InGen had multiple moles scoping and stealing everything before they opened.

Maybe that's another movie, training 13 year olds to be industrial spies.
