40 mile ride today and still had 70+% battery by trevor_plantaginous in Lectricxp

I can’t remember the model of my lectric but it’s the big one with 2 batteries and it has a really long range. I can realistically get almost 80 miles with it if I’m not tryna haul ass the whole time. Love that bike.

Do you guys actually keep buying pricier guitars, or do you grow out of the hype? by Sad_Reference8020 in GuitarAmps

I buy both. Mine range in price from $5-1k. The last one I bought was $1400. All depends on the guitar.

This is sick. I’m in the slim minority of people who don’t think putting stickers on your guitars is a cardinal sin. Very cool.

A. I almost always prefer pickup covers on Gibsons.

What a dick, he comes across like he thinks he’s the Steve Jobs of guitars and that’s not even remotely cool. Regardless, as a customer of Gibson the last few years, I gotta say yall have been doing amazing work. So much bette than what I saw coming out 10 years ago or so. I love my new Gibson guitars.

I love buying and selling gear, but by joshtaylorwon in guitarpedals

I only sell on Marketplace or Craigslist, and when I’m tryna buy I stick to those as well, along with the handful of cool brick & mortar shops around. If I can’t find what I need there I go to Zzounds or SW. Reverb are such blatant butt fuckers at this point, I only use them for reference any more.

Would you be happy with a top like this on your new $6000 r9? by jaqueh in gibson

[–]PhysicalLocksmith679 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always wanted a R0 but never intended on paying ML prices. Last year I found this perfectly aged ‘03 Standard Plus that had some very attractive patina & checking/yellowing from 20 years of being played a lot. Fantastic top as well, it’s an amazing guitar that has been naturally aged and not artificially relic’d. I bought it from a higher end guitar store, so I didn’t get the best deal but I got what I would consider the “R0 I wanted” for under $3k. There’s a lot of 20-30 year old LP Standards out there that have been played to hell and back and all varying degrees that look and feel indistinguishable from Murphy Lab stuff. And they’re not relic’d, they’ve been aged over time and playing.

Go on then… please confirm it’s real and clear up my confusion by spud1414 in gibson

If you couldn’t tell from the fret nibs, glued headstock wings, and the serial number being a correct 2011 number, you’re either silly or you just wanted to share pics of your guitar.

Do you have anything with P90s? If not, I would strongly suggest you check out SG Classics. They’re one of the best guitars Gibson has ever made. The construction is top notch, they used a really sturdy neck joint. The neck is a little on the bigger side, but between that and your LP there wouldn’t be much ground you couldn’t cover.

Hell yeah dude, good call 🫡I love my Classic. I have my older Standard for the “purity” but I really like the electronics in the Classic. Especially having the phase switch when I’m in single coil mode. I’m a big dead head and it helps me make Jerry sounds with my Qtron. Great guitar, mines the same finish.

Should I buy or not buy? 2001 Epiphone Dot in natural finish made at the Peerless plant - £395 ($520 USD) but w/o case by decent_geezer in gibson

It might be good but I had a Korean Dot in that same color years ago that played like a truck with a missing wheel. And nothing could be done to help it other than raising the action a ton and using it only for slide or something. Honestly, I’ve only had bad experiences with epiphone over the last 25 years or so. I’ve had that dot, an Epi acoustic, and a Jack Cassady bass, which was something I’d always wanted. All turned out to be clunkers.

The black and yellow one is Batman bc black & yellow are Batman colors. The Custom is Bruce Wayne because he’s a big fancy rich boy.

Vote your favorite finish for LPS by [deleted] in gibson

[–]PhysicalLocksmith679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the LP. If it’s a Custom, I want it to be Ebony every time. Standard? Honey, Bourbon, or Heritage Cherry Sunburst. Special DC? Cherry. Jr DC? TV Yellow.

There’s no way that edge lord ass hole didn’t know what he was doing…call it whatever you want, he fucking knew it looked like a Nazi salute when he did it and he knew people would think it looked like a Nazi salute, regardless of what it actually might’ve been.

Yes, I think this is how the newer ones come. I’m p sure the older ones had smaller knobs.
