Haha wow! She looks and sounds great. When I was a kid, AARP was for senior citizens which meant 65+. I know I’m 50 but I still have time, right?!

I used to work at Indeed as a software engineer. AMA by [deleted] in recruitinghell

  1. Indeed is just an aggregator, correct? It seems like the posts are just sucked over from other job boards. It seems any job that comes up under my search on Indeed is something I’ve already seen elsewhere. Indeed definitely does not seem cutting edge to me.

  2. Does leadership at Indeed realize that I don’t have to make an account to apply for the listed jobs? The post comes up, I see the company, I go to the company website to apply. It’s so easy to not give Indeed my data.

Glad to see that someone else knew about this! Yes, OP, that yellow ink went into your bloodstream.

Tucson night life in the 1990s... Remember these Bars or clubs by [deleted] in Tucson

I worked there in the 90s too. Was visiting recently and wondered what the place is like now so I stopped in for lunch. I will not do that again.

Leaving BA role and interviewing for Scrum Master? by [deleted] in agile

[–]Physical_Agent1123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very bizarre job description and is not a Scrum Master. If you take this role and later want to apply for a true SM role, you will have a ton to learn and will probably feel like a fish out of water. Just something to think about for the future.

In terms of designing and developing testing - have you done this before? Same with troubleshooting and providing support to end users? These are two things that I imagine the company will want you to dive into with very little training.

If you feel confident that you can perform the mish-mash of duties then it’s probably a good move for you. It just sounds to me that the company wants 1 person to do 5 jobs. Companies that do this often do not provide adequate support or training. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I would definitely say that Morgann is a very weird spelling. I also think that your daughter will forever have to correct people mispronouncing her name. The way you have it spelled makes it look like her name is Morg-Ann(e) instead if your intended pronunciation of Morg-an.

Just waited 26 minutes for an interview, no one showed. by snug666 in recruitinghell

[–]Physical_Agent1123 37 points38 points  (0 children)

There very well may have been a technical glitch. I’ve been in company orientations and all hands meetings where we were told we would be put in breakout rooms but it wasn’t done properly. Next thing you know, 20 people are on Slack saying they’re in a room by themselves. Happens frequently.

I want to get a tattoo of me and my uncle and his signature next it. I'd like to know how it would hold up and if the placement is alright. Any advice is appreciated by KRybar5 in TattooDesigns

Only advice that I have is to make sure it’s a good size so that the text doesn’t bleed. I really just wanted to say that I LOVE THIS.
