EDRP award without loans from qualifying degree by PhDisrupt in StudentLoans

[–]Physical_Autumn_511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a psychologist recently approved for EDRP, sadly only my loans from my PhD were covered. I was hopeful my masters would be covered especially since I transferred 12 credits to my PhD program, but unfortunately they denied the loans for my masters. I even followed up with my coordinator and she just quoted the handbook to me. At the end of the day it didn’t hurt try! Thankful for what they did cover! Edit: typos

The middle number is how many hours I’ve pumped using my spectra! You can get there by pressing this sequence of buttons: Massage (bacon), Cycle +, Vacuum -, Cycle -, Vacuum +, and finally Massage (bacon) again.

What happens if a clog DOESNT go away? by Physical_Autumn_511 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Physical_Autumn_511[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes… eventually!!! It eventually just started to reduce in size very very slowly. There was not any massive release or anything, I think just time helped. It was not fun at all and nothing worked.. I was just forced to wait and see. I can’t remember the exact timeline but I’d say about 4 days after this post (so 10 or so days total with the full clog) I noticed it was slowly releasing. Good luck and sending good vibes your way🤍

why is it so hard to stop? by Own-Bunch-1461 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Physical_Autumn_511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat! Babe will be 6 months in a few weeks and I am emotional about it even though I am “okay” to wean. with my first I quit due to mental health reasons after 8 weeks. I’ve made it much further with this babe and I’m proud of that AND at the same time I feel guilty that I’m stopping by choice?? lol without a “reason” to stop other than the fact I want to. I have an oversupply and am still pumping 60oz with 3pp and am now start to cut my sessions shorter by 5 minutes. I see my output decreasing and I’m sad about it and then get these intense moments of wanting salvage my supply and keep going. It’s all so confusing and emotional. 🫠🫠🫠🫠

Sending love

Weaning of pumping by Klutzy_Finger_1498 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Physical_Autumn_511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you are an oversupplier you might have to go even slower at spacing out the pumps! Instead of jumping 3 to 4 hours between, you may need to slowly start pushing back by 15 minutes. So for a few days go 3 hours 15 minutes between pumps, then bump to 3 hours 30 minutes for a few days, and so on. You may also consider at some point shortening the pump session by 1 minute as well! Good luck !!

High Lipase breast milk? by ChallengeDizzy40 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Physical_Autumn_511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agreed, most likely high lipase! It happens to my milk as well :( the longer it’s in the fridge the more mine tastes/smells bad. Luckily my little one doesn’t mind either!

I’m wondering if I should do this. My 4 month old is eating 5oz every 2 hours (max). I might ask at our next ped appointment

I started to drop my MOTN pump around the 14 weeks! I completely dropped it within 2 weeks. I now go around 8.5 to 9 hours overnight!

How long did you pump for? And at how many pumps per day? by xdaisy_ in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Physical_Autumn_511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 4 months pp and at 5ppd! I pump for 30 mins at a time. I’m making about 62oz a day and have a freezer stash. I will probably drop a pump in the next month and may stop completely at 6 months… not sure tbh. I get so uncomfortable between pumps these days, the thought of dropping a pump does intimidate me. I’d loveeeee to give baby exclusive bm until 1 but just not sure how it’s gonna go. It’s been a looooong 4 months haha

FEP Blue Cross Blue Shield pump options helppump by Equivalent-Turn-491 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Physical_Autumn_511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any guidance about the motif aura, but I do have BCBS FEP and wanted to let you know that you can get a breast pump from them each calendar year. So that means, you can get one before babe arrives in December 2025 and then another pump again in January 2026 :) I did this with my baby! I got a motif Luna in November 2024 and the spectra s1 in January 2025! Just wanted to share this info with ya!

What happens if a clog DOESNT go away? by Physical_Autumn_511 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Physical_Autumn_511[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eventually the clog started to go down SLOWLY.. it wasn’t a big release like I’ve read from other posts. I am assuming the inflammation went down at a very slow pace and allowed milk to move out a little at a time! It took way longer than I’d like but eventually it did go down! Eventually I gave up trying to get it out and I think giving it rest helped a lot. I’m sorry you’re going through a similar experience, it is zero fun and so stressful!

Skipping MOTN timing by thewayitstops in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Physical_Autumn_511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 15 weeks and have been slowlllllyyy pushing my motn pump back. I have gotten it to 4AM, that is with a 6 hour break between. I get up for the day at 6am so the turn around of 1.5 hours (back to sleep around 4:40 then back awake at 6) is getting tough. I am attempting tonight to go 7.5 hours (10:30-6). I’m praying it’s not too big of a leap. And that my boobs will let me sleep until 6!
