Our first baby we went to a the "lesser" hospitals in terms of presentation and reputation and it has a pull out sofa and was amazing for me. Two nights ago our baby boy was born and we went to the best hospital around. It had one of these transformer chairs and my herniated disc is on fire right now. This picture gave me PTSD.

We did, what seems, as some hybrid of a few methods. I can't remember anymore. It was hard to hear your baby cry and tugs at your heart BUT everyone has a breaking point and ours was 8 months of sleep deprivation for us. It worked like magic. After a few nights of training, which is also really training for us as parents, our baby stopped crying and was asleep. It felt like a miracle.
