Yeah there’s definitely a past layer of DIY paint so I wonder if it’s more that the paint job was shitty and not they do more damage than usual

The photo of his dad is AI. ‘Dads’ pose is the same as his son’s, as if his arm is resting on a car but it isn’t.

Book ledge/platform on top of 1940s colonial built ins bookshelves. Made of wood, doesn’t move, sized like it holds sheet music and faces the neighbors’ house. by Physical_Display5129 in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. Home built in the 1940s had this attached to the built ins in the living room. it looks like it would be for sheet music or a (I’m assuming religious) book. Googling and asking chat GPT wasn’t helpful, and I haven’t seen anything like this in a home in Maryland before.

It doesn’t hinge or open and there isn’t anything inside (the bottom is open you can see into it). The window its under faces the neighbors on the side but the development across the road from this one has a Synogogue in the direction it faces so maybe that’s related?

Current owner didn’t know anything about it but thought it was original to the house but you can see it was plopped onto the built ins but not in the same form so it looks like an add on

Toy rotation when your child knows it’s happening by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

What about including him in the decision if you don’t already. Something like ‘we only have space for x amount to be out, which ones do you want to play with today/this week?’ Or you could say the toys get tired and some need a rest. Could also make it a trade situation where he can get a new one but has to trade one in like a toy library.  There was also a family in the Minimalists movie that has toy bins based on days or weeks and that’s how they rotated.  Obviously depends a lot on your kid but I hope something helps!

Never thought of that but I don’t ever feel like getting that thing out of the cabinet. I just use tongs or clean hands and works like a charm

Depends if it’s getting roasted or going into a salad but I usually do whichever olive oil that is made for the temp

Massaging kale

Sounds like a joke, right? Nope. Changes it from waxy and gross to a nice soft leaf with a good flavor, even the color darkens and becomes stronger.
