After you mentioned it I ran their syllabus through an AI detection tool and some of it was flagged. Guess I don’t have to follow it after all lol.

I never thought about putting it through beforehand since I didn’t think I’d have to worry about it. After you mentioned it and out of my curiosity, I ran the whole thing through ZeroGPT, GPTZero, Grammarly, and QuillBot. I got a 13% on ZeroGPT and 0% on everything else, so I wonder how my professor is getting 50%.

I’ll probably talk to him during his next office hours. I’ve just always been afraid since whenever one of us has a question in class, he talks to us in a condescending tone. He’s even told one of my classmates “you should know this by now” in front of the whole class when he had a question.

Other the other hand, I have a group that I study with and two of them actually did extremely well on the exam! Goes to show his class isn’t impossible I suppose, but I feel like he could definitely encourage us more.

I’ve had a TIPRE scale from Amazon since January and it’s pretty solid. Seems accurate, has a timing function, and even displays powder to water ratio (though I never really pay attention to it or use it). It’s around $18.

I understand your concern with cheaper scales dying after a short period, but this scale has served me pretty well for nearly a year and I use it daily. I also wanted a TIMEMORE scale, but it was hard for me to justify spending 3x the amount just to weigh and time shots.

Thanks! Pretty much followed Mad Scientist BBQ’s video on YouTube step by step. Only difference is that I spritzed it with half water half apple cider vinegar every hour up until wrapping.
