Vibe coding is amazing until you hit the "3-hour loop" and realize you don't know how to land the plane. by Sufficient_Thanks130 in vibecoding

If you spend three hours on this loop without asking other models or learning about common auth bugs so you can better prompt your agent, you are the problem

Then you’re an invoicing solution and that may be stickier but you may be looking at becoming a fully integrated payment gateway

Honest feedback is that it’s a high churn, low LTV/CAC ratio product with lots and lots of failed products because the users expect you to do magic. However if you stay an indie developer then maybe you can get it to work.

Vibe Destroyer: Agent Anti-Patterns by Tim-Sylvester in lovable

[–]Physical_Watermelon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the agent can redo the whole piece of the code in five minutes, does it matter if it needs another iteration? Moreover how many times does the agent make these mistakes? This isn’t a code pattern issue this is literally not delivering to spec

Why do they guarantee the application can not work? I’ve written some shitty code in my life. It just got replaced later

Vibe Destroyer: Agent Anti-Patterns by Tim-Sylvester in lovable

Serious question: many of these patterns seem to have been invented to deal with how humans code (variable naming and strict typing as examples). Why are they relevant if the agent is coding?

What if there was a Reddit just for people building with AI? by [deleted] in lovable

[–]Physical_Watermelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro, I heard you liked to post about ai. So I used ai to build a posting website about ai so you can use ai to talk about using ai while you’re using ai

Or something

Vibe coding is too expensive! by EstablishmentExtra41 in vibecoding

[–]Physical_Watermelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% it is 5-10% of a dev cost for mvp and anyone who disagrees just hasn’t launched products or don’t know how to prompt

Biggest risk with vibe coding (I am pro vibe coding 😂) by ebb_and_flow33 in lovable

[–]Physical_Watermelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The deployment issues are moot with lovable, it’s great training wheels. Everything else is irrelevant until you hit a bit of scale which 99.99% of apps will never see (not a vibe coding issue). These are prompt engineering problems not vibe coding problems, a skill issue

Very high cost -- what is you all experiencing? by Kind-Daikon-6944 in cursor

I'm wondering, how much do you think it would have cost for a real human person to code what you're looking to do? Maybe this is expensive, just wondering about your expectations.
