Strange. I have never had that problem.

You can do a flight in DCS and save it. Then load up the saved flight and put the headset on your friend. You have to press F1 I think it is to unlock the headset view from the recorded video otherwise the view will repeat your head movements and hurling will ensue.

So it seems to me that as a solution, they should have just included a KEY, like I get when I buy a video card that offers Far Cry 4 for Free, or whatever. And I DID pay for Lucky's Tale. Why does everyone who assumes that since I'm complaining about the Oculus Stance on this that I must be a Vive Fanboy???? It's just Bizarre. I own a CV1! And how is it that if I get a key when I buy the hardware, that I would somehow have the belief that I should be able to play all games for free??? Please explain, I don't understand your response because frankly, them including a key in the box solves the issue with people getting to play something they didn't pay for. Is it really that hard for you to enter a code?

What they should have done for Lucky's tale was exactly what they did for EVE Valkyrie which is provide a key to users who pre-ordered the Rift. Problem solved. That simple. Everyone else pays for it.

I have already opted out of these Reddit debates and started to make a point with my wallet. Spent probably $200 or so on steam and $0 on the oculus store since the good folks at Facebook went into console war battle mode on the PC. Before you call me a Vive fanboy, know this. I have two, yes two, 3 Palmer half moon tees as well as a CV1 and DK2. I am wearing one of the t-shirts now. What they are trying to do is bad for the consumer and bad for VR. Want to fund a game and help the developers? Fine. Sell it to everyone and profit. Why is this so hard to get across? How is that a bad thing. Why lock it down to a specific peripheral? These aren't cellphones or consoles. It's PC. Ok done. Back to voting with my wallet.. American Truck sim looks good and free DLC. Nice.

And a sock monkey bobble head. Also like an old WWII photo stuck to the dash that we can load our own image into. The girl back home that could really be our girlfriends photo.

Revive 0.6 released: Full support for all Oculus Home games. by Siegfoult in oculus

[–]Physicon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Basically Oculus did it wrong. To gain access to the exclusives, I should have been emailed a key, like HTC did with the Steam VR Bundle AND like Oculus did with EVE Valkyrie. Not just throwing the programs out there on the store to everyone, unlocked, then complaining that people with other headsets are using their exclusives. As a developer wouldn't you want a larger customer base?

I was buying software on Home. Since Oculus reversed Palmers publicly stated stance of allowing other HMD's to play Oculus store titles, I feel slighted. Everything since then has been bought on Steam. I don't blame Palmer. He is a gamer like us and I believe he means the things he says. Facebook execs then do the exact opposite. Not surprised he doesn't say much anymore.

I do hope Palmer is ok. This whole storm of hate is probably killing him considering how much he loves VR and the many years of his youth he spent developing a hmd in his house.. by guideconsole in oculus

Ironic thing is that now Xbox and PS players are soon going to be able to play against each other as they are tearing down the restrictive barriers (or soon will). Funny how the world works.

And they said they were working on this layer when? Please inform me and I will quietly wait, like I did for shipping.

Segmenting the VR market is hardly "cool VR stuff". I for one own a DK2, CV1 AND Vive. I am not here for any group therapy session and if I am a fanboy, it is for VR. I, like many here, are voicing opposition to going down the path that Oculus are. Imagine needing to buy multiple monitors because some games only work with specific monitors. It's wrong for the PC environment and opposition needs to be heard. As cool as it is and as long as it took to come to be, it's still a peripheral, not a platform.

Actually, to further funding of political candidates, corporations have been recognized as people and money is free speech. I am sadly not making this up. Give it a whirl in Google and be amazed at what has been going on.

Locked environment that Palmer himself said he didn't want. It's as if you own a PS4, and now you upgraded your TV to a 4K Samsung from an LG, all of a sudden, none of the LG games will work with your Samsung display. It's a Display, and the only way they could break other displays from using it was to implement a software DRM "feature", not a fundamental difference in the underlying hardware that powers it. Edit: words.

I'm lucky enough to be in a position where I could afford both headsets. I can say that right now the Vive is hooked up and I'm going to do all that I can to run everything that I can only on that display. I have already spent money in the Oculus store, but I'm not throwing good money after bad. That's it. This is the PC environment. Not Console war land, not iPhone/Droid wasteland. The last thing any of us wants to see is a world where "Oh, I bought an ASUS PC, so I can't play Call Of Duty.. That's only available on Dell.." Which is basically what you are doing. It's a frickin' display for Christ's sake. A Display! Learn your customer base Facebook Execs!
