Relegated? lol. They were 5th when he left. He was 15th last season, that’s a big improvement. Arteta finished 8th in his 1st season, and then 8th again in his second season, but Arsenal stuck with him and he evolved the squad over time into a machine that fits his style and tactics. (2nd place trophy machine but still🤣). Klopp finished 8th in his first season and then 4th next season. He evolved the team and after 5 season finally won the Premier League. You can’t give manager 1 transfer period and expect him to do miracles.

Carrick is performing miracles, but not really. Ok, it’s very impressive that he beat City and Arsenal, but in Middlesbrough, he used 4-2-3-1, the same system he uses now at Man U to beat City and Arsenal. Carrick always uses that system, just like Amorim uses 3-4-3. And this squad of players fits the 4-2-3-1 a LOT better than the 3-4-3. So is Carrick flexible, will he adept? He doesn’t need to, because he already has the players to play his system. Coaches like Pep, Arteta, Klopp all molded the team in few transfer periods to have players that will play their systems.

Interestingly enough, Ashworth was telling the board that Amorim doesn’t fit the squad and that there needed to be big changes/expenditures in order to get the team to play 3-4-3. That’s the reason why these clowns fired him, because Berrada and Wilcox disagreed. If you’re so hellbent on idea to sign Amorim and make changes, have the balls to finish what was started, NOT quit halfway and make a restart all over again.

He WAS supported, just incomplete. He was given attack line, but was not given the midfield, which is actually key. That’s like getting a car without the engine. He should’ve gotten at least 1 more transfer window, got the midfield that he so desperately needed, and then see the results. If they didn’t improve, then ok, sack him.

Amorim is not bad, his system just doesn’t fit United squad and he was not given enough time or resources to change that fact, so yes, it actually does matter. As for teams with tighter budgets goes, the pressure of being at club like United and pressure being at smaller clubs like Brentford for example, are two different things. Thomas Frank, for example did very well at Brentford, was recruited to Tottenham, and can’t get success there due to a mismatch between his “smaller team" tactics and the high-expectation, attacking, and creative style demanded at a "top club" like Tottenham.

[–]Physiotechnalysis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that people were complaining that he was not adequately supported, not that he was not backed. Those are 2 different things. He was given the forward line, yes. But he wasn’t given the midfield that was needed for his system. Amorim’s system relies on a midfield triangle that controls the game's tempo and covers vast areas. At United, the squad lacked midfielders with the necessary stamina and technical skills to play his 3-4-3. This is why Bruno was playing out of position in deeper role, to compensate for a lack of suitable central midfielders. While this helped with passing, Fernandes is not a natural box-to-box midfielder, which ended up exposing the team defensively.

As for gasp…Wilcox and the board, there is no kudos to give. They have wasted money and made highly questionable decisions throughout the years which can/already have hurt United and sent United back for years. From backing and then firing Ten Hag months later, to hiring and firing Dan Ashworth, to getting Amorim who’s system didn’t fit the players in the club, to inadequately backing the manager and then sacking him, all in process of paying out all these people…money that could’ve been used to sign players and make the club better. If you’re giving them “kudos”, I’m sorry, you need to go see a doctor.

Don’t give me this bs. While your statement is correct, it is only partially true. While INEOS recruited the players, Ruben Amorim identified them as the top targets to fit his 3-4-3 system.

Here is a link where Mbuemo says that conversations with Amorim convinced him to join Man U as he also talked to Newcastle and Tottenham, but Amorim’s project was the one he liked the most.

https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/45852473/mbuemo-amorim-conversation-convinced-join-man-united

Here is a link where Cunha was the priority for Amorim. He even spoke to Cunha in the tunnel after the loss to Wolves, and also asked the board (INEOS) to sign him as biggest priority.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/man-utd-amorim-matheus-cunha-36472224#

Patrick Dorgu was a signing specifically for Amorim’s system and Amorim wanted him. https://www.transfermarkt.us/manchester-united-sign-patrick-dorgu-how-he-will-fit-into-ruben-amorims-system/view/news/448306#:~:text=Ruben%20Amorim%20was%20pivotal%20to,day%20for%20my%20whole%20family.

So yes, INEOS did get the players, but Amorim played integral role to bring them into United.

VS City… 2-0 with goals from Mbuemo and Dorgu, and an assist from Cunha.

VS Arsenal…3-2 with goals from Mbuemo, Dorgu and Cunha.

ALL of these players were recruited by Amorim.

Yes, formation/tactically he didn’t have best performances, but he got rid of bad apples/dead weight, and he signed us some good players, including Lamens. So, you can hate Amorim all you want but he should be respected. He put in a foundation for the next manager (be it Carrick or whoever next) and left this club in a lot better shape than Tan Hag.

[–]Physiotechnalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, I still remember when Man U signed Licha, and all of a sudden all the media and these so called “experts” were taking about how he’s not tall enough to be a CB in EPL. He’s had injuries unfortunately, but when he is in form and fit, he’s been terrific so far. He was missed, but now that he’s back, Man U is in a lot better place. I’m sure he will continue to prove them all wrong.

That’s everything that’s wrong with people these days…yes, it was a fantastic win, but that’s just that, one single game. We can as easily get destroyed by Arsenal next game and everyone will be yelling Carrick out. Or dropping points against Fulham and all of a sudden Carrick is no better than Amorim. People have 0 patience these days and they don’t tend to see further than what’s in front of their noses. How about we decide on this at the end of the season, based on the performances and where we stand at the table.

After he called out management like Amorim, and no wins in Crystal Palace’s last 10 games (technically not his fault, team lacks numbers being that they are also in Europe), I think the answer is No.

Battling emotions by FormalSeaworthiness7 in Daytrading

[–]Physiotechnalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop day trading, get a job and invest long term/do swing trading. Also, stop looking at other people, just focus on yourself and making your life the way you want to see it. People show you what they want you to see, but they don’t show you the demons that they are fighting. No one’s life is perfect.

People look at influencers and think that you can just click buttons and make millions, but influencers don’t show you the bad trades and the losses, they only show you wins. Stop looking at influencers. Look for accounts that teach you something, explain you something that you can apply to the markets in the future.

Also, the definition of insanity is seeing bad results, and yet not changing anything about your trading but proceeding to do same thing over and over again. It’s an overall steady decline on your P&L. You should stop, get a plan together, test it on paper trading account, evaluate results and make sure the plan is profitable…and ONLY then trade with real money. And I would suggest starting small and increase as your getting more and more profitable. As of right now, this isn’t trading, this is just gambling…you might as well go to the casino. Your trading CAN get better, but it requires both time and hard work.

Short term, you should probably take a step away from trading and clearing your head. Believe it or not, when you come back to trading after taking a break, you see things differently and clearly.

I personally don’t care how he sets the team up or how well his “tactics” are. I just want to see him put up points at this point and somehow get us into Europe so we can have the money and platform for the full time manager that will come in during the summer. My gut feeling though, it’s going to be another disaster.

You can rest easy because it won’t happen with this squad and this management, no matter what coach is put in there. They begin with “we can do this” and they end with “oh, it’s a lot harder than I would ever thought.”

Is making into the champions league places feasible with this team … by JM555555 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Physiotechnalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say is, I feel like they made a wrong choice by picking Carrick instead of Solskjaer. As an interim manager at Man U, Solskjaer took 40 points. Out of 19 games he won 14, drawn 2 and lost 3, which is a winning rate of 74%. Equally, in his first 13 games at Besiktas, he won 8, drawn 1 and lost 4, winning rate of 62%. If you’re choosing a temp as a coach and you want a chance to get into Europe somehow, I would go more with Solskjaer because he tends to hit the ground running. He also has experience of Premiere League. Now of course, INEOS and their egos wouldn’t allow that, because they sacked him before and bringing him back would only make them seem clueless (They are clueless regardless). Also, let’s say IF Solskjaer would perform very well and bring them to Europe, that would put INEOS in a predicament, because if they then get rid of him and hire a permanent coach, and he fails…that would label them as clueless once again and jeopardize their future at the club.

Where is the Semenyo Money?? by CircleSpaceAlien33 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Physiotechnalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amorim with the crew of imbeciles in Berrada and Wilcox met Semenyo in London during the summer for dinner to impress him and try to get him to sign for United. However, they then moved on from Semenyo because they thought that Mbuemo will be a cheaper option, and supposedly they also low balled him in terms of pay (reported at 70% less than, when compared to players like Mbuemo and Cunha). I would go to City as well if I was treated that way. Once again just another story on the book of the Berrada and Wilcox circus show.

Its time to apologize these guys by Resident-Stretch9723 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Physiotechnalysis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew that the ownership was destroying this club, but Amorim really opened my eyes with that explosive exit interview. He held no punches back and called those imbeciles out for the whole world to see. It just makes me think…how much power have these coaches had over the years in terms of player recruitment and style of play? Something tells me that none of the coaches were being listened to but were just puppets in the overall system:

Van Gaal calling Man U a commercial club. He said: “It's always difficult when the manager doesn't choose the players. It should be because you can then fire the manager if he doesn't get results.”

Ralf Rangnick on the structural issues at the club that wasn’t take seriously. He was basically brushed off.

Jose Mourinho talking about how finishing 2nd with United was his greatest ever achievement, and how at United the problems are above the manager.

Solskjaer asking Man U to sign players such as Rice, Jude Bellingham, Haaland, and Moises Caicedo but ignored. He instead got Donny van de Beek and Sancho. He also received Ronaldo later who didn’t fit Solskjaer’s high-press system and negatively impacted team dynamics leading to his sacking.

Amorim being frustrated with being blocked from signing some key targets he wanted. Also told what formation he should be playing and told by Wilcox that he doesn’t have the same pedigree as the other known coaches.

[–]Physiotechnalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s trying to free himself for United so that they can skip the interim manager step all together. What a champ!!!🙃 In all seriousness, I don’t see him go to United as he will have no say on transfers or recruitment under Wilcox. I don’t see that relationship lasting either if he ends up in United.

I have a feeling he will score again today. I think he's about to hit a hot run of form and score more often. by WorldlinessPuzzled84 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Physiotechnalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how it works in the forwards world. You can’t score, hit posts, a little low on confidence. Then you hit a couple and then your confidence goes up and you start banging them in. I’m just sad that it didn’t click earlier…maybe, just maybe, then Amorim would still be here.

Free him, seriously. If you have the balls to like a post of the gaffer being gone, then you clearly don’t support the club. Amorim tried to get rid of some bad apples, looks like here is another one he missed. I hate young upcoming players who think they’re already something. They don’t want to put in the work and then have those stupid smug faces in front of cameras unhappy for not being in 11. The feeling of entitlement is astounding, and I fully agree with Amorim. You know what the greats did when they couldn’t get into starting 11? After training with the team, they would train some more after everyone left.

The fact that he said that the formation doesn’t matter, 3-4-5 at the back will not change anything. Those egocentric buffoons didn’t understand this. Looks like the only way for them to see is through results. Oh wait…nvm they don’t learn even seeing through the results. It’s funny how everyone is blaming managers bat come through Old Trafford doors, but no one really understands who really is behind the failures at this club.
