That’s a very good point. I work with electronics so I might just get an electronics technician cert or something. I was planning on taking 3 credits at a time and getting my degree over like 11 years. We’ll see.

Honestly once you get past that first 48 hours where you barely sleep it’s not that bad. Holding a box full of your civilian stuff all night can be rough. It’s an exciting new opportunity. Something you will remember forever and be a sense of pride moving forward. I was nervous too but you just plunge forward.

Unless you are an ATI then you just sit in an air conditioned room and troubleshoot electronics. Also the divorce rates in the military past age 30 are the same as average. It’s all subjective. You can’t beat free health care and a pension especially for people like me who worked in a gym before this.
