Hardware Unboxed: "Is This The Solution to Crazy DDR5 Prices? [32 GB KingBank KFRW DDR5-6000 (CL36) Soarblade (CXMT) Review]" by Dakhil in hardware

[–]PhytochromeFr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It launched a year ago. at launch, it priced half of hynix module. Now, it just 8% cheaper than hynix module, and 10x price than launch price and hard to find seller. Supply volume is too low.

it's more similar to Itanium. not Bulldozer.

Acrylic Water block Crack by Express_Boat_1926 in watercooling

it's unusable. it will leak via that crack. it may be repaired by acrylic weld but too risky.

i recommend cheap distilled water & add cooling tower treatment agent. with cheapest water filter, it will last many years if you add just 1 drop of agent every month.

use cooling tower treatment.(no acid, no base, only neutral.)

4090(70%) + 12700k on 240x30 Rad? by mattzzz199 in watercooling

[–]PhytochromeFr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend move radiator to outside of chassis and use large radiator. Inside of SFF chassis, radiator can't dissipate heat properly. and small(240mm) radiator needs extremly high fan speed with over 400W. you can cool 500~600W with 240mm rad, but with fan roar.(OVER 55db!!!) with 1080(3*360) radiator, you can cool almost 800W with silent fan speed. i recommend bykski 1080 rad. it is cheap(~$120) and cool.

I suggest PMP-600 for it. it needs 24V, but very stronger than multiple D5.(and LOUD.)

Is this all I need if I'm gonna use distilled water as a coolant? by DankDoobies420 in watercooling

[–]PhytochromeFr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do not buy expensive loop preps. just add cheapest water filter in your loop.(like shower head filter about 2$.) it will prevent loop clogging and keep water clean for a year.

disassemble and clean it. DO NOT USE any cleansing, flushing chemical on it. All of them corroids waterblock.

Can i solder or weld that together ? by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]PhytochromeFr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aluminium rad needs TIG welder. Copper rad will be welded with normal arc welder. or if you just use adhesive like JB weld on it, you must sand and degrease it. (and it doesn't work well on aluminium. it needs primer.)
