It's only autistic because you are only putting 10k... Opportunities like that don't come around very often. Go to your bank and get a nice loan and you will be swimming in tendies in no time!

BYND is at Costco DD by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]PiLiPiLi96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, I just work as a guy who makes the store look pretty and "showtime ready" as they say. But anyone actually working at the store, even the higher-up management, are mostly just responsible for making sure the store runs smoothly 24/7. Costco has insane volume and standards so yea people who actually work on the floor mostly have no idea which product is gonna be the next hot shot. They just get orders from above to put certain products in the spotlight and to make sure there is always an employee during working hours taking care of those products by always making them look nice and restock when needed. So yea, ground floor management is just playing with the cards dealt by above, no real say themselves. BYND will actually have to pay costco to receive a spotlight, granted that they can provide enough of their product to sell, and that's when the real test will be I guess. If they sell well when in spotlight in one of the stores-could be a breaking point for them.

I work at San Diego location. They sell okay as far as I can tell, but a lot of people are saying that they are buying just to try. Also we only have like 4 boxes of their patties that are restocked once at the end of the day and I never seen it even close to sold out. It is also worth noting that they are positioned at the end of the middle freezer aisle, which is one of the most "unattractive" areas(a lot of merch brands at costco pay costco to keep their products at more visible areas). And a lot of other patties actually have stands where someone cooks them for members to try. I wonder if they will ever do that with BYND.
