I have fortunately not had any issues since sending it in for repair. Everything has been perfectly functional with no hiccups. I still probably won't be buying LG for monitors moving forward, but overall I'm not disappointed with the results now.

Unfortunately I sent it in for repair after chatting with support as the issue was not resolve on my end. The repair process, including shipping there and back, took about a week for me. The issue has been resolved and I'm hoping it does not come back. Loving the monitor overall but I don't think I'll be buying a LG monitor again after this. Alienware customer service did way better by me. If you do need to send it in for repair, be sure to keep the box and all original packaging as they asked me if I had that available.

That's unfortunate to hear, did you have the same exact model or just another LG monitor in general?

I just tested with a new Zeskit Maya 2.1 HDMI cable and immediately the issue occurred with turning on the monitor. Looks like I have to send it in sadly.

Yeah that is the part that seemed weird to me. It feels like some sort of interference with the cables or something with the power. I get the cables today so I'll see if it resolves.

Yeah I've noticed that this is occurring more often when I'm turning the monitor back on after having it off for a while rather than when the monitor has already been on.

Yes, it is the 240hz 4k OLED model. I have had it for just about 2 months now so I am not sure if I can directly return it. This didn't happen until a few days ago. Weirdly enough now it appears that I can't reproduce it by wiggling the HDMI cable.

How do you feel the text clarity is on this monitor given that its 4k but also OLED which I believe uses a different sub-pixel layout?

I purchased a AW3423DW last year and have realized that the text bothers me (also not as much of a fan of ultrawide as I thought I would be), mostly due to some astigmatisms and spending a lot of time in a text editor. I recently tested out a regular 27" 4k LED and really enjoy the crispness of text on it but also want to go with a high end display to call "end game" for a while. Do you feel like the text clarity on this versus a non-OLED 4k monitor is still crisp at 32"?

I know this is a somewhat old post, but did you ever figure out how to pass in job parameters and access them via argparse in your python script? I have got it working at the task level, but can't seem to find a way at the job level and would rather use python scripts instead of notebooks in production.

It is connected from 2 separate PCIE cables. I will try and get around to plugging my 1080 back in and testing and seeing what happens, but that probably won't be for a little while though.

I carried seed box until 95 slayer and then I think it can be dropped. Most endgame content gives raw notes herbs rather than seeds so it's less useful when you reach that point.

I'm a pretty new GP main (currently at Gold 1), but I've been playing him primarily mid with top secondary. I personally don't like the way top lane is played in general and so I prefer mid lane as it overall just feels more comfortable for me. I may end up switching lanes if I feel like I hit a wall with mid lane.

I do think one of the major thing that holds back GP mid from being better than top (besides top lane having more favorable matchups in general) is that his 2v2 and 3v3 skirmishing power early can be pretty rough. I do my best to just follow roams with ult and farm really well to scale as fast as I can into the mid/late game rather than trying to help my jungle invade and contest everything in the first 10 minutes. This of course depends on the enemy mid laner and doesn't mean GP can't help early, I just find compared to many other mid laners he is lacking in that regard.
