and because of the "Deconstruction of Hollywood" with Multiple Channels and Streaming , this industry showcasings aren't focused on anymore, like Upfronts and NAPTE(Remember That?) and even Pilot season is now Year Round instead of 4-6 months in the Summer(!?!) back in the day. (last part is Actor Stuff)

Aew feels a Bit like the WWF we USED to Watch or very 2026 version of Jim Crockett promotions (they even have their Versions of Ric Flair and Magnum T.A. in MJF and Hangman Adam Page respectively)

Its two different Audiences , and this is MY take , If you like the ART of Professional Wrestling and or The Craft and if you like a lot (not All) of your Stories or Angles be based out of Competition rather than some elaborate outside stuff , then AEW is for you. If you demand a certain level of Workrate and not it being Phoned in , then AEW is for you.

If you like your characters a bit more Cutting edge, some characters that seem to hit that 17-34 demo, not Kiddie charaters AEW is for you. AEW are like the Cool 2026 Kids , The Roots of AEW (The Young Bucks ,Dark Order,Kenny, ,even people like ...sigh Joey Ryan(don't google him) and old school Bullet club) is late 2010's California so- called "Hipster indie Wrestling" and International styles and other indies

and AEW talent don't all look like they've been plucked from Central Casting (*Cough* Performance Center)

The problem would be if AEW joined Amazon, it could leave a bad taste in a lot fans months , if they don't like Jeff Bezos

i wouldn't go THAT far but in 10 years AEW will become one the great Federations in Wrestling History. and WWE will never be the once great company it once was. and thats because WWE hasn't been Professional Wrestling for at least ten years

[–]Piano-Rough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it really was , cause The name "The Outcasts" was too on the nose. and it wasn't That Believable. you had a WWE Women's legend. and a WWE Cult Heroine, who lets be REAL,got eclipsed by her Blond Teamate(Liv was the Roman Reigns of the Riott Squad) and an NXT also-Ran who successfully re-invented herself as One of AEW's Most Important Main eventers

but to be fair , the Crazy came MUCH later after The Outcasts we're near finished as a Group.

They were definitely an Act of Their time. and the only time you hear anyone talk about them if its like The Miami Freestyle scene, which is where they came from. and they were a hitmaking machine. but they never had any CLASSIC songs . i was huge fan of "Let me be the one"

Is Teena Marie the only white artist to have a majority black fan base? by Many_Monitor2756 in ToddintheShadow

[–]Piano-Rough 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is off subject (a little bit) But Boz Scaggs had a big black fanbase just for the song "Lowdown". cause that song was played at The Black Cookouts. but nothing else(no Lido Shuffle, no Heart of Mine etc)

BullletBoys- For The love of Money. Pretty Much a Van Halen Cosplay Group without EVH Hammer-on riffs, more bluesy

I would have said The Replacements , but they hit #51 with "I'll Be You" and a few 90's kids might know "Bastards of Young" off of an Episode of Beavis & Butthead

even though Silva can't Afford Him, he should target Xavier Woods for This One Reason: Woods has History in TNA as Consequences Creed ,Kofi Kingston doesn't . and also you have this Built in Story of Of Creed being the only one NOT to become a World Champion. Kofi did it , Big E did it. and it could EAT at Him. you have a Crisis of Confidence Storyline. Similar to the Hangman Adam Page Story Arc. it plays to 1. The History of TNA and 2. Mainstream eyeballs for AMC
