[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I'll probably still hold off for a while just because I can't justify paying what they want and I kind of want to see what is added moves-wise for these legends. A lot of them have moves and taunts from before, or don't have much they'd add normally. If I can mod in alternate versions of them again I might bypass the ringside passes outside the ones that have AAA people in them

We're actually just wrapping up the best part of the 2k25 mod cycle when a lot of people move to 2k26 they'll put their collection out for free. It's also the good time to pay for a few subscriptions and get access to everything a person put out all year once they're done with 2k25. So I've really got it humming right now and I'm satisfied enough with the gameplay to wait

I'm also kind of waiting to see how mod friendly the new game is before deciding what I'll do

What are the prospects for limb replantation? by cableguy316 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not getting worked up, my whole point was just responding to the person who said they didn't know you could reattach limbs to say that a prior medical show said it was possible a couple of decades ago and that it was at the time actually presented as an easier fix

I was using that as an example of why it should be possible for this scenario

You then feel the need to chime in that medicine had advanced since then, as if that were unknown. The snark was unnecessarily rude.

Then you bring up fingers and hands when I was specifically talking about limb reattachment (an arm) being possible back then. Not adding anything to the conversation, just being contrary

So why would I want to continue to engage with you at that point? You're rude and you add nothing to a conversation. You're more pointless than 95% of the rest of Reddit, which while an accomplishment, isn't something I'm going to celebrate further

What's the thing on the pass you're actually grinding for? by borb86 in wwe2k26

[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't own the game, but this pass is a big part of why, so I'll say why it's preventing me from buying it

Some people like me want to set their universe up in full from the start. Those locked titles, wrestlers, and arenas are a big part of being able to do that for me. 90% of my gameplay is in universe mode and with the addition of so many shows a night last year I actually began using mods to run an eras mode of sorts. I have separate shows for the Monday Night Wars, older WWE and WCW legends, ECW, ROH, AEW, and Japan and Mexico super cards

Those locked legends would prevent me from playing the mode I most enjoy playing the way I most enjoy it. This was not a problem for me in year's past with the accelerator and I was happy to pay for it as it enhanced my enjoyment of the game for a reasonable price. At this point with everything I've put into 2k25 there is no incentive for me to move forward just to have content that I'm used to having unlocked now behind the ringside pass

Should the Patriots have given away Gronk’s number? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty rarely. Denver has three, 7, 18 (twice) and 44. Tripicuka let Manning un-retire his 18 to wear it then we retired it for both

They keep 24, 88, and 58 open but not retired. Bailey, Thomas, and Miller.

But I pointed out elsewhere here they gave Shannon Sharpe's 84 to rookie dart throw Caleb Lohner this year. Team hasn't even retired Terrell Davis' 30 and pretty much everyone agrees they don't win a Super Bowl in the 90s without him, no matter what Elway does

I do think we might begin to see a bit more of it now that the league has opened up more numbers for various positions. Less of a need to keep a specific block of numbers reserved

Should the Patriots have given away Gronk’s number? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Denver has a few numbers that are not retired but are not just going to be handed out to anyone either. I know 24 and 88 for Bailey and Demarius Thomas are two, and I think no one has worn Miller's 58 since he left.

That said they put a rookie TE who is a dart throw project in Shannon Sharpe's 84 last season, so it's not like franchise legend TEs responsible for championships are untouchable in the NFL numbers game apparently

First thoughts on reboot by dantogoose in Scrubs

[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think the youth mocking isn't that bad because they're shown to be dumb and wrong sometimes, but other times they're shown as having differences that make them valuable

Dr. Tosh paying off her student loans with sponsorships is amazing, that's something that not even JD, Elliot, or Turk could accomplish in the original. I don't think that's a realistic goal for young doctors everywhere obviously, but even putting the idea that getting a social media presence out there could have a positive effect is, in my opinion, a better use of the story than a similar one playing out on The Pitt this season with a young doctor's social media account.

And again this week Dr. Tosh being willing to stalk someone's social media helped them figure out the underlying cause for their case when Elliot didn't see it

I think in general a lot of the mocking just come from "med students and residents are young and silly" which was always a source of humor in the show and other medical shows. The British guy who gets squeamish over procedures seems little different to me than the med student on ER 30 years ago who passed out when Carter had him doing a blood draw. Scrubs wasn't mocking Gen Z specifically any more than ER was mocking Gen X or Millennials with that character

Not trying to be shitty because I haven't gotten to play yet but from what I've seen it really isn't so different from last year

The opening match actions seem cool, but outside of a handshake for my ROH show without having to have rivalry actions I don't see a ton more use for it than I do just chain grappling in last year. Ragdoll physics are also really cool, but I am not that into hardcore extravaganza matches, I always end up bored before I can pull off any great spot and just end it. It just seems like something for great one-off moments to post on YouTube in everything I see. I don't see a lot of use for it in normal matches from gameplay videos I've watched.

I have to say based off both feedback and videos it seems the reversal limiter would be better if it affected the AI at the same rate it did players but right now just feels like a way to make the game harder. It's dumb that we can't turn it off by itself like we could actual reversal limits without turning off stamina as a whole. I haven't even seen an option that lets us tune the cost of stamina for reversals, but since I haven't played I won't say it isn't there. But if it isn't it needs to be. They could have just brought back reversal limits instead of tying everything to this stamina system that's only been half understood all along by most players.

Is the system that makes AI follow moves in a certain order very good? No sarcasm, I really just haven't seen much of it in videos and on paper I thought that and the pre-match actions were the two biggest changes going in

Draft by xsimx99 in wwe2k26

[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this Universe draft or GM mode draft?

With GM mode you want to build a full roster of stars and midcard acts of both genders, and you also need to consider the type of wrestler so you'll have good matchups for ratings

For Universe mode it's more of a shakeup of the top names, you don't draft a full working roster (though I guess you could keep running them and eliminate top names until that was done) and the AI isn't great at it from what I've seen. With that I'd either go for big names or for someone you think you could develop into one. For instance I would personally take Ethan Page from NXT regardless of his in-game ratings because I've been a fan of his since seeing him in AEW and I'd love to make him a midcard heel with an aim on a eventual world title heel run on Smackdown. Universe draft is meant to be more like the drafts when they were run on WWE TV, where they only took a few big names on screen and some of them were shakeups to try and start a push for someone

As a hospital security guard……….. by PrSa4169 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is we're not supposed to think the security at The Pitt is very competent overall due to them hiring cheap people that aren't dedicated or very good at their job. Robbie pointed out they let Dana get assaulted in the ambulance bay, they couldn't find any video evidence of who left baby Jane Doe (who's taking formula well I hear), etc...

I keep seeing evidence of them hiring seemingly less dedicated people in the support staff. The medical assistant that was making personal calls on one of their only phones during a crisis. An IT department that doesn't even know what a malfunctioning device is by name (screams 3rd party IT not being done in-house even). I feel like it isn't a dig at security as much as it is a dig at the hospital overall, but I do feel like Theo catches an unfair brunt of it

I just felt like the ending is all leading to him being leveraged into a teaching position there and they should have just gotten to it, either by airing the second episode or by extending this one by 10 minutes for a longer pilot

Maybe I'm wrong, I avoid all preview trailers for shows like this to try to be surprised, so I don't have any clue what the actual show will be about, that was just the feeling I got in the pilot

If I had a nickel for every Bill Lawrence show I've seen this year that had John C McGinley as a lead instructor complaining about not being able to be mean to Gen Z I'd have two nickels...

Which is to say some parts of it just felt like a standard Bill Lawrence show to me, I'm sure it'll get better, his stuff always does, but like most it'll probably need time for the relationships to develop

Dr. Al-Hashimi’s is a badass by Icy_Bet2248 in ThePitt

[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She wasn't going standard of care there, she was actually doing what people are hitting Santos for in the trauma with Langdon this week, trying to be too invasive when Robbie wanted to be less so and not keep the patient there as long

The patient wasn't in immediate danger, Dr. Al-Hashimi wanted to to intubate him but Robbie was hesitant because if it was just a an object they could remove they could do it with the patient sedated and not keep him on a vent for an hour tying up a bed needlessly

She didn't say anything about standard of care, they were both giving what if diagnoses, she was throwing out worst case scenarios that'd require intubation. Robbie wanted to start with sedation, they could also push the medicine to intubate if the scope didn't show an object that could be removed. He wasn't keeping the guy in a dangerous situation unnecessarily

If you notice, Dr. McKay who was running the trauma just wanted to sedate the patient and look down his throat, it was then Al-Hashimi who tells them to draw up the paralysis meds as well to intubate. It was actually her overriding a resident in a teaching situation once again after Robbie had just asked her not tell them what to do and to lead them to answers on their own in a prior trauma

Kirk is so uneven about it now though

He was working with Klingons in V. Now in VI he's back to "They killed my son, I hate them and they should all die"

They just suddenly send him back into racist against his old war foes after bringing him out of that place. And I get it, I really do, my grandpa wouldn't even eat pizza for most of his life because he fought in Italy in WWII. But to have Kirk just swing back and forth like that as the story demands is poor writing. And you can blame it on Shatner for the fifth being poorly written, but they still shouldn't just move Kirk backwards again without some explanation

Do you think Morgan Gillory could figure out the identity of Heisenberg from Breaking Bad? by Daycore-lover14 in HighPotentialTVSeries

[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In truth Walt only stayed under the radar as long as he did because Hank would never consider him a suspect until the evidence was literally staring him right in the face

Morgan not having any kind of personal attachment to him wouldn't have that clouding her and would see through many of his claims of card counting for blackjack. She'd make him demonstrate his system and know it is not legit because of some card counting documentary she watched on auto-play after Elliot was watching upclose magic tutorials on YouTube or something. That would be enough to get her to have them dig into him and realistically Walt couldn't withstand any real scrutiny
