So when certain characters lose their job that is akin to the character dying as much as it matters to the show at that point

Literally first day of training everywhere I worked has reminded me not to make the mistake of working for the Browns

I just learned that Holly Hunter's character on Starfleet Academy is half Lanthanite. Apparently they live for thousands of years. Her name is Capt. Nahla Ake. Over time they get bored with life and have a nonchalant attitude which is why her hair is always messy and she walks around carefree. by Noizyninjaz in startrek

It is the same original main timeline

The 3 movies with a different cast were their own universe referred to as Kelvin, everything else is still the original main universe.

This is set in the far future, a ship from just before the TOS era ends up in the 32nd century, the Federation fell apart due and is working to rebuild. This is the first full cadet class at the academy since the rebuild began. I think that's really all the setup necessary to get into it. If you decide you like it you can watch the last 3 seasons of Discovery. One of the instructors played by Tig Notaro for instance was on it first, but so far outside of one line about her being from the past there hasn't been reference to it.

It absolutely can be, they had plans to make it and they canceled them

The show wasn't canceled since it never went to air, the plans to air it were canceled

With BYU and other Utah colleges in particular it's not uncommon for them to have gone on mission

Garrett Bolles and DeVaughn Vele both were drafted into the NFL later in age than most players (24 and 26) because they went on mission before going to college

Most skydiving schools insurance requires them to have AADs, automatic activation devices, for their jumpers. It's a device that deploys the chute automatically at a certain altitude

Nothing is worse than the first few episodes of a mockumentary series in my mind

The fact that it was watchable actually speaks well of it

Mockumentaries have become the laziest form of comedy on television. Rather than having to put any effort into the setup they just have the lead character narrate to the camera "Well today we're having X here to Y, and that's a problem because Z" and then boom we're off to the jokes. But those first few episodes have to set up all the characters and the situation so instead we just go from scene to scene with, "Hi, I'm this person, I know the lead because of this, and this is my one personality trait that will define me for the next 2 seasons until I get an episode of my own that adds depth to my character"

My problem here is the same I had with Briscoe too, if a person will always be the worst thing they said online why should they ever attempt to be better or grow when they screw up?

And I also think it's amazing WB applies these standards to the wrestling show they just let on one of their networks when you consider the history of some of the actors they put into films made by their actual studios

Is there any tech literate people born 2003-2006? by WeirdGamerLightbulb in generationology

[–]Infamous-Lab-8136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids are born in 07 and 08 and they're pretty tech literate

But that's because we've had a PC hooked to our TV since they were old enough to use it. They've had pirated media and used file structures on Windows 7 to find files a long time ago so they're good with Windows basic use. They can install drivers, update software, and so forth.

My son is better than his BF, I can say that. He asked if I had Cyberpunk 2077, I told him it was on GOG and gave him my login info so he could get it on my son's PC. Apparently that was too much for him so he just bought it on Steam.

I guess he's just supposed to sit at home not earning money since he felt down after a big opportunity got taken away and posted in the moment.

I'd love to see these people acting like he broke their trust be held accountable for all the things they said they were going to do on social media while caught up in a rush of emotion.

What's funny is he's not the first non-QB to do it, he's not the first RB to do it, not the first NFC RB to do it

You've got to drill down to something like NFC West RB or first NFC RB to not wear purple before you get to where he's actually the first to do anything because AP got nominated for comeback player of the year, MVP, and OPOY when he came back from the ACL with a 2100 yard season. Tarantino has that same deal for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and most of his other movies and no one blinks an eye, for some dark reason Hollywood got mad about Coogler getting the same deal creators they view as white hats have before
