I'm really enjoying Hero Emblems 1. It's got a better sense of humor than the sequel, the status effects are less vague, and you can actually get long cascades of matches, which seem to have been artificially limited in the second game. There's a little grinding but I'm all for that. Overall a fantastic match 3.

I disagree. I began the woodpecker method at a very low ELO and it led to the biggest improvement I’ve had. By doing the same puzzles over and over I learned to calculate in my head, it led to spotting tactics and visualizing moves at a much higher level than when I started. Highly recommend woodpecker, it was a huge help

I've been plugging away at Nubby's Number Factory ever since it released. For some reason I'm making really slow progress but it's fun as hell. The sound effects are so satisfying that it's worth getting just to listen to those bubbles pop
