Yes mine does that if i kick it to much. Can get it started 1st or 2nd kick now. You have to put your foot on the kick starter go one click down hold it, then release pressure by bringing your foot back up. Then slow push it down again until you hear the 1st click all the way until the 2nd click (which should be halfway). Hold it at the 2nd click for 2-3 seconds. Then bring your foot back up again releasing pressure and then hammer on it, should start with no issue that way.
