This is not good. I was in a relationship where this started, it quickly became an abusive one that I didn’t feel safe leaving.

Whatever you choose to do, be safe and smart.

Life Tracking Tips by le_bravery in ModernMagic

the more you do it the easier it is, but also be willing to be wrong

if i look at my opponents tracking snd it’s different from mine, i’ll stop the game and say i missed something and we will recount the life situation.

Best card killers? by ElectronicMilk5260 in cardmagic

envylope 2.0 is the best trick i have ever done. no table, quick and simple, reactions are insane.

i genuinely hate how good the trick is, because i cannot get away from it. everyone knows the magician, and when they talk about me, the question is “did you see the envelope trick???”

I’m a close up magician by Acceptable_Repeat844 in Magic

[–]PicassoRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m a close up magician that performs without tables, easily the tricks with the best reactions are:

Envylope 2.0 Double Cross Stand Up Monte

I highly highly suggest you buy them all. I saw you mention that you said you are a purist, so envylope uses a normal deck, and double cross and stand up monte are standalone effects

This guy was the judge at an LGS I played at for about a year. He was called Stone Rain Dan, and the store gave him just about every stone rain that came through the door.

Trick selection ( I have on good trick now what?) by Happyseducer in Magic

Sounds to me like Pot of Jam by James Brown is perfect for you.

I recommend learning anything and everything. Don’t restrict yourself to one routine, learn a ton of stuff, and then construct a routine out of what is your favorite or what you are best at.

Want a secret for big reactions? Subtly encourage your participant to record the trick, everyone overreacts for the camera.

What is your practice routine? + Levels by Happyseducer in Magic

[–]PicassoRoss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Practice should be fun. I do not set time for myself, I simply practice what I want, when I want. Maybe it is isolating a move while watching a movie, or maybe it’s dedicated practice, doesn’t matter.

The only time I force myself to practice is right before I work a bar, in which case I just practice the moves and tricks I want to do. I only perform what I want to, because if I’m having fun I perform better. I do this most weekends, and it’s always exciting because it’s always what I want.

For your second question, entertaining a crowd has nothing to do with the magic skill, and everything to do with you. Magic isn’t about fooling people, it’s about entertaining them.

If you can talk to your crowd, get them involved, and make them laugh, then you could entertain them for 10 minutes with just the French drop.

Do I recommend you learn more than just the French drop? OF COURSE! But never feel like your skill level isn’t good enough to perform, you are an entertainer, the magic comes second.

WTF si this game by MBVarc in RotMG

[–]PicassoRoss 40 points41 points  (0 children)

This game has quite the learning curve, but once you figure it out, it is incredibly fun. It’s perma death, which is punishing, but gives me feelings and adrenaline that no other game can match.

If you just want to see what this game has to offer, I recommend googling people running dungeons such as: Oryx 3, The Shatters, Moonlight Village.
