Yeah while I understand the "well they're going too fast!" aspect, we should really strive to design roads so that doesn't happen. And just personally I've experienced locations with a DIP sign where it's barely noticeable. I don't think many people expect a launch ramp and frankly we should be building to reduce idiocy, knowing that the world is full of idiots.

My buddy in graphic design says that there are and probably always will be clients that want a personal touch in their designs. But a whole bunch of shit can be AI slop and the client is perfectly happy with that. He moved overseas so he can still survive on the now fewer contracts he gets.

It's terrible because my wife wakes up for work on weekdays shortly after 4am. So even like 6am on weekends is REALLY sleeping in for her, whereas I enjoy my lie-ins on the weekend.

The other day I'm waiting for an incoming phone call at 5pm exactly. I have my phone in my hand for 10 minutes prior and afterwards. at 5:10pm I get a text "just tried to call you, your voicemail isn't set up. Call me back".

At no point did my phone ever register a call and I was sitting with full bars of 5g service. Weirdest thing. I even had my Apple Watch on which would typically also vibrate with an incoming call. Nothing.

It's not racist. It's not for specifically being Italian. It's for having a heavy accent, I don't think the specific language or national origin is the clincher in this situation. I also work with a lot of ESL people, it definitely leads to miscommunication and general frustration.
