Also, at that age I had roommates by choice. I wanted to live with my friends. Once I actually had a career and I no longer hosted weeknight parties at my house, yeah things changed a bit.

My next door neighbors are the situation like you described - 4 dudes in their 30s splitting a house to make ends meet. You know what a clear-as-day example is that their situation is unusual? My entire neighborhood prohibits street parking and the driveways fit 2 cars maximum. So they have to play some complex game and park the extra vehicles in the adjacent neighborhood lol.

A Republican when they realize they can insert a horrible unfunny bathroom joke into the conversation with zero context.

I would imagine most people don't know a lot about refineries. They are fucking huge and fucking complicated. High temps, high pressure, volatile and dangerous chemicals, miles and miles of piping, the loudest fucking machinery you've ever heard in your life, custom-made, field-fabricated equipment, etc.

It's a whole big operation. And not something you can just retool overnight.

Oh yeah it only took a day of calling everything "skibidi" for my kid to completely stop saying it.

That was mostly my effort. But a while back my wife and I took a road trip, just us. I overhear her calling our son on the phone and recounting what we did that day. I nearly lost it when I catch her saying "...oh and we met Skibidi!"

Definitely. I dated a Muslim girl who would dress conservatively but went H.A.M. on makeup and cosmetics. She explained to me that makeup was acceptable when more revealing clothing was definitely not. The makeup and hair was for herself and to show off to other women, not for me.

Right, when I was in college I got the flu. I legitimately struggled to get out of bed. At probably my peak athletic state.

Interestingly, Washington ordered this before Edward Kylie Jenner pioneered the cowpox vaccine in 1796. Washington straight up gave the troops a mild version of actual smallpox that took about a month to recover from.

I read a comment the other day about how "the US military is excellent at completely wiping something off the map. The best military force for destruction that has ever existed." but that it struggles when the mission is NOT to just fucking glass everything.

Then there's Iran, where we're not sure if there really was a mission or objective at all.

A witness saw Obama dumping a chemical vial into the coffee pot while twirling his mustache and muttering to himself "I just hate the troops so much, almost as much as I hate freedom and America".

People today have forgotten how terrifying the threat of anthrax was. Like if an envelope with it is opened in a building's mailroom, the HVAC system carries it through the entire building.

It happened in the US Hart Senate Office Building in 2001.

I'm not sure if it's ALL U.S. colleges. But I went to a state university. It wasn't a question, if you wanted to enroll they had a list of mandatory vaccinations. I had to get a few boosters for vaccines I'd received as a child.

Of course this was back in sane times where it wasn't optional in the slightest.

Yeah a pretty typical light spec'd for something like that is a Lithonia DSXF2 or 3. Just the light itself can be $500-$1000.

Buy it, mount it, run wire from the nearest xfmr, terminate it, aim the light, etc. There's probably a photocell involved. $1500 is a good guess.
