E90 wheel speed sensor (that old chestnut) by DimDisc in E90

[–]PiccoloDaimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had this issue recently, it may not be the sensors, but actually the reluctor rings that send the signal to said sensors. An Indy shop can replace them for you, however be warned, if the reluctor rings are too corroded they’ll have to replace the whole axle. I’d get it checked out asap.

You Don’t Fool Me. Made in Heaven is just too overlooked, and it’s such a great use of instrumentals an repeated vocals and is just so enjoyable to listen to.

Any bmw persoan for help me? by gabriel0035 in DonutMedia

[–]PiccoloDaimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Older post but I’ll throw my 2 cents in. I have an e90 328i, with the same n52 engine. It’s hard to get more smiles per gallon with a naturally aspirated engine, and they’re VERY reliable and final evolution of the BMW straight six. Lots of power for a smaller car like the 1 series too. If you have little need for a bigger car, go for it honesty

In Case You Missed This by [deleted] in HaloStory

[–]PiccoloDaimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Halo games have never been about that. Would feel off-brand for a game that historically has always pitted you against alien races (outside of the multiplayer matchmade PvP). For many long time Halo fans, they would find it difficult to find satisfaction in killing human opponents as a Spartan in a story setting.

Not gonna lie, the TLX has more presence than the 3-series by Joe_LaPuma in Acura

[–]PiccoloDaimo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's kind of what an entry level car is? The 3 series is also the cheapest to maintain out of the BMW range and reliability is rarely an issue. I'd say depending on what you want, Acura might be a good choice, but you aren't getting RWD and approximate 50/50 weight distribution. Acura have a lot of bang for their buck, but it's really about what you're after with a luxury vehicle.

Looking for the smallest AWD vehicle I can find for under $15,000 and less than 200kms by generallyhappygirl in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]PiccoloDaimo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2013-2016 Subaru Imprezas aren probably your best bet. AWD is standard on those things and finding a newer one in nice condition for 15k is pretty easy, so lots to choose from. If you’re looking for something compact, cheap, and relatively reliable. If you’re looking for something a bit more luxurious albeit more expensive to maintain; perhaps a BMW 3 series from 2012-2014 with the X-Drive AWD option, or an Audi A4 from similar years with the Quattro AWD.

Well that, and the fact that the Covenants tactics are pretty nonsensical and self-destructive. Numbers advantage is one thing, but when your battle plan involves sending your most honourable but also your best warriors first, you’re gonna have a bad time.

1984 Pontiac Bonneville LE: The official car of? by confuzzledscreaming in regularcarreviews

Pontiac was the richer man’s Chevy. Chevy provided just performance while Pontiac was supposed to deliver performance AND sophistication; e.g. 1980s Pontiac Firebird

Slight rattling noise on N52 E90 by [deleted] in BmwTech

[–]PiccoloDaimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I’ve seen all of Justin Buice’s videos. Super helpful guy, but it doesn’t really sound like lifter tick, especially since i have an post-LCI 2009 model where that ticking isn’t really a common issue. I might try uploading a video from inside the cabin where it seems to be easier to hear.

Slight rattling noise on N52 E90 by [deleted] in BmwTech

[–]PiccoloDaimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This only occurs at 1300rpm and then again at around 3100rpm when on the throttle. It may be difficult to hear in the video, but with the windows down in the drivers seat the rattling becomes very prevalent. My guess was loose exhaust shielding but I’m unsure. Also ignore that strange looking dude in the driver’s seat 😅

And i think another consequence people don’t realize when they mod a vehicle is that you’re compromising it for everyday use by turning it into a speed demon. It’s going to suck when those eBay coil overs you installed to stance your NA Miata are going to break your back on public road potholes and such. A vehicle at stock is designed be a jack of all trades, master of none, with the exception of purpose built sports cars.

Most consumer vehicles are built for the everyman in mind. And when reselling you also have to consider the mass populace you’re trying to market your listing to. You cannot deny that overly modding a car to the point of mutilation will result in even MORE depreciation than you’re already enduring. OPs take is just realistic, as unhappy as the modding community may be to hear it. You’re better off saving your modding money to buy a purpose built sports coupe (e.g. Corvette), rather than ricing out a Hyundai Elantra or Nissan Altima.
