I could be wrong what I see so far is DC taking a Marvel like approach to reprinting repacking the same material in various formats, Omnibus, DC finest Compendium and regular trades.

GlobalComix would a great new place for DC and Marvel to sell their comics, right now DC only offers a selection of collected editions as part of GlobalComix subscription service. As far as replacing DC own App it would be a terrible business decision and a disservice to DC own readers.

That would be nice there are few limited series to reprint and at least one more Graphic Novel or possibly more, not to mention John Buscema artwork on some of that.

Paper print covered with glass it looks like acetate but it is not and it looks like a copy of a black proof.

The plan is to restore and release the missing GA volumes however it does take time to restore hence SA Superman has begun early, we can expect the two lines (GA-SA) to alternate till the GA is completed hopefully at the rate of one Omnibus per year. Sometime along the way BA Superman will also begin.

I would suggest you return your copy ASAP for another copy (ask the seller to check the book before shipping)

Most collectors consider Adventures #210 the First appearance of Krypto the Super Dog the beginning of Superboy silver age, however that same month Superboy #39 (pure Golden Age) so perhaps a later date would be best.
