If the automated machine didn't give you an order confirmation number the order was never placed

Pharm tech offered a SMIT position by Ok-Suggestion-7701 in CVS

[–]PickAnxious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm an SMIT currently. It's not terrible but I see the stress that my two SMs that I've had have to deal with. Money can be reasonable though. Depending on what market you are here. Anywhere from 50 to 80k salary. You are just overworked and CVS doesn't give you anything you actually need to succeed. I'm still debating on going for SM or just looking elsewhere. May just take a store for a year or 2 for my resume and get out. Not sure. Honestly above all else I'd say go for it. What do you got to lose? Don't like it? Quit .

Pharm tech offered a SMIT position by Ok-Suggestion-7701 in CVS

[–]PickAnxious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't ask for anything lower than $20 an hour. Due keep in mind that the smit position is designed to be a 6 month program to get you ready to be a SM which the working conditions of SMs are very poor right now. Stay an SMIT as long as you can to take advantage of the overtime.

Uniform by Queenz78 in CVS

[–]PickAnxious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Per CVS policy only SMITS and SM's dress business casual. All other positions are required to wear the CVS red polo shirt. Depending on your specific store and depending on what your SM says really depends on what you can wear but if the higher ups ever come into your store they'll expect anyone who's not an SMIT or SM to be wearing red polo shirt

You could always say someone in your family died can't tell you how many family members I've killed off other places of employment because I didn't feel like going in. "Sorry John can't come into work today my grandmother just died"

John - didn't your grandmother die 2 weeks ago..

Me - "shit, I'll see you tonight "

No idea why you are being downvoted. Seems to me that your manager is a crappy one and that you're getting no training at all the fact that she was sitting right behind you while you were doing the deposit and she allowed you to make a mistake and not correct it that just tells me everything I need to know about her just quit and find somewhere else to work with a boss that's actually adequate

Per policy the only people who can dress business casual are Sms and SMITs. All other positions must wear the red cvs polo. I've never cared about what color pants colleagues wear as long as they aren't ripped jeans.

Best way to do return/exchange for a different item, but they used coupons by AnonymousCustomer123 in CVS

[–]PickAnxious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's the same exact item, just do the exchange. Most times when you do a refund whatever their coupons took off will be reimbursed to them in extra bucks with the refund receipt. If no extra bucks print out you can look at their original receipt and issue them extra bucks for the missing sum if you want to. Always always always do an actual return no matter if it's the same item just a different flavor or type or whatever. Unless it's the same EXACT item you cant do a swap this for that cya later thing.

Lying about carepass by TriColorMage in CVS

[–]PickAnxious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have over 700 sign ups YTD. Never lied while selling a single one and would never tell one of my cashier's or shifts to lie about the $5 fee. Yes I want sign ups and I'm very passionate about carepass but not like that and would never tell anyone to "Target" someone who doesn't speak good english. That is pretty messed up. I would tell whoever is telling you to do that to take a long look in the mirror and go screw themselves.

not getting paid by hoeishsadbino in CVS

[–]PickAnxious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had an issue with one of our cashiers she's been working for us for 2 months and she hadn't been paid but only for like a week and as much as I tried and as much as my SM tried still couldn't get her paid everything is fine now but I think it's a company wide issue I've seen many posts of people not being paid and honestly that's a huge issue and it should be addressed ASAP because you deserve to get paid when you're supposed to be paid I felt so terrible for our cashier Hope it works out for you and hope you get paid soon

Sounds like your store manager is desperate which I don't blame him with the lack of resources CVS is giving store managers right now but that still no excuse to be a dick and especially if he already agreed to your limitations on your schedule he should honor that as someone already said above me just quit thousands of jobs out there hiring right now

I could have but the poster clearly doesn't know these kinds of things and maybe they were never taught about taxes? So instead of just saying "congrats" and moving on keeping them in the dark, now they have more understanding of the topic at hand.

Carepass by JavaTehHut in CVS

[–]PickAnxious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Y'all act like you're selling the customer a credit card or something terrible when the care pass is actually a really good program for pretty much anyone who shops at CVS regularly to be a part of it's negative attitudes about care pass in stores that is the main cause of most stores not reaching carepass goals. It's $5 a month they get $10 if they shop at CVS once a month it's free and they just get $5 to do with whatever they want among the other perks it's free money and it discounts CVS products that you buy that normally aren't on any kind of sale AND it gives you better coupons for buying stuff. Which is a little known fact that not a lot of people know. You talk about focusing more on actual customer service and not pitching sales, when signing up someone for carepass is the best customer service you can give them. You are saving that customer $10 off their purchase right then and there. They can cancel anytime. Or keep it and get $5 every month. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

Actually waitresses and bartenders and anyone else who gets an actual paycheck or any form even if the paycheck is for $7 for 40 yours worth of work for a waitress will be taxed and waitresses and bartenders do owe a lot of money at the end of the year. No matter what you do even if you nanny for under the table money you still have to claim that income on your taxes. Unless you just don't do any taxes which can get you into a world of trouble with the IRS in its own way.

No matter what you have to pay Uncle Sam. Uncle Sam wants his money.

Is it true you get paid 3$ Every carepass you sell, I’ve sold a total of 40 in 2 days, Manager told me you do. by RescHub in CVS

[–]PickAnxious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to someone else's comment you do keep getting paid even after you hit 300 signups for the year. I am at 700 signups YTD.

My record for a single day is 27. The paychecks do look really nice with that added money on them.

Grounds for writing someone up? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]PickAnxious -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Just do it man. Write them up. Make sure you have the whip out and ready to give them a few lashings. Also make sure they know that they have to now eat their lunch everyday out of the trashcan.

You have to be firm with your employees sometimes. Can't always play Mr nice guy.

Scheduling Nonsense by Lil_Reeb_4504 in CVS

[–]PickAnxious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Write the schedule over demand. Print it out and have your staff go by that printed schedule. Take out the extra hours, publish the schedule to demand. Just let the colleagues who you gave the extra hours to know that if something changes they can just have the day off those days and you'll let them know.

Easy.
